    Perhaps grade these dimesimage. Well not my series at all but I'll wag XF40 and XF45, cannot tell if there's any luster with pics this big.

    I think these would both be EF ... both with some technical claims to ChEF

    I would go XF40 on the first and XF45 on the second.

    I have to chime in again now, as that was my thought as well Casey (and Dave) ... the 14-S certainly has better claims to ChEF IMO

    I dont know the series at all, but I know what I like. I like the look of them very much! Great coins.

    I also agree with Casey - but with one caveat: the 1911-P seems to have environmental damage - but its XF 40 in detail.

    I'd also agree that the 1914-S is XF 45.

    well i thought everyone was going to grade these optimistically but
    i see that XF is the consensus and i agree. 40-45.

    I say the 1911 is XF45 for details, and net grade it 40 due to a rim tick by "S" of STATES; the 1914-S has XF45 detail, but I also net grade it to 40 due to circulation nicks in the prime focal areas (cheek, neck). Nice original coins.
