After serious thought...I have decided to make my OWN coins

Which coins shall I start coining first??

How do you go about making these?

Everyone should have one in their Basement
You know, to show the kids...
<< <i>At one time whence I was in school, I decided to make hammered coins in lead or silver with aluminium and bronze dies. I placed lead air rifle pellets in betwixt the dies, and pressed them with a bench vice. I still have the dies, and quite a few of the coins. In fact the dies are currently on my desk in an aluminium can awaiting my taking pictures of them and the coins and posting them sometime. >>
WHAT....no pictures??? Show us

If coins don't work out for you Stefanie, you can always do Sno-Cones with that machine.
I hope your hubby gets home soon....it's starting to show.....lol.

I want one! I want one!!
But, it was fun, and I always carried a few in my pocket. I did make a few decent NE shillings too, but being King of Bylosvania, I was under obligation to coin for my own country.
I remember Dad really laying into me one time, wondering HOW THE HELL the handle on his big Vise had been bent. It didnt take him too long to figure out it was me and a hammer doing it.
Bylosvania officially ceased to exist when I was about 12 or so, and discovered Lincoln Cent collecting.
