Any guess on what this will sell for?
Would you rather buy this or a bunch of 08/07's?

I would bet money, yes.
<< <i>maybe when he gets the six grand he'll probably get for it, he can take $25.00 of it and buy himself a better junk camera..
Like the $25 camera I just reviewed in my forum?

just read your review.. fist time i've looked at your site.. nice job on that review.. i've been using Steve's Digicams for camera review reading for many years.. i know there are a lot of other similar sites.. nice to find one specific to shooting coins and slabs..
that Canon really does have a tiny screen on it.. yikes..
i'm currently using a three year-old Olympus C-7000 zoom.. when it came out it was $600.00-ish.. didn't cost me a cent since i was writing tech reviews for a magazine who wanted all its writers to have a decent camera, so they sent it to me to keep.. i searched your site but didn't get any hits at all on "Olympus C-7000 zoom" so if you ever reviewed it, i can't find it.. it's a seven megapixel job, not much bigger than a pack of cigarettes with Olympus' typical menu system from Hell.. and takes xD cards.. and even after three years of shooting a few thousand pictures with it, there are features in it i've never used and probably never will..
i MUCH prefer my circa 1999 Sony Mavica FD-91.. a big bruiser of a camera that was $1200.00 or so when Sony first introduced it.. bought one a year or two later, brand new in the box, for $600.00 from an etailer.. unfortunately, it's only 0.8 megapixels maximum, but that's what you got back then, but the lens is incredible.. with Sony's SteadyShot gyroscopic stabilization, a huge, tiltable rear LCD screen PLUS electronic viewfinder.. it's an SLR with a MUCH simpler menu system, and of course, what was cool then but isn't any more.. it uses MS-DOS high density floppies in its built-in double-speed drive.. for Storage.. so you get about 10 - 20 shots per disk, depending on resolution.. with 14:1 optical zoom (unheard of in most digital cameras, and the FD-91 is the ONLY camera Sony ever made with that lens).. you can literaly hand-hold it at maximum telephoto.. no need for a tripod.. and its macro ability is every bit as good if not better than the much newer Olympus.. again, no tripod needed because of the SteadyShot.. it's about the size of a sandard SLR with motor drive and a five inch lens with 50mm screw threads at the end (so you can screw filters on it, unlike the Olympus, whose lens retracts into the camera when you shut it off, and has no screw threads)..
if i could graft the FD-91's lens onto the C-7000 zoom i'd have the best of both worlds..

Just curious why you think the shipping is high, as the insurance along is gonna be more than $30.00??? And I'd pass as well, no returns and crappy pics...Uh, No Thanks...
<< <i>OK...this is probably a very ignornat question: "What is so special about this bullion token?" >>
it was tossed in as a freebie with the 1995 10nd Anniversary AGE set.. only 31,000 of the Proof 1995-W ASEs exist, since it was never sold by itself, and only 31,000 of those sets were sold, at $1000.00 each.. so the only way to get that oz. of Silver was to cough up a grand for the Gold set.. it was also the first ASE with a W mintmark {{twirling finger in the air}}.. in PR69 DCAM typical price for that ASE alone is around six grand.. i think ONE was slabbed PR70DCAM by PCGS and last sold for thirty grand or more..

It's kind of funny how the NCG label is so clear but the obverse and reverse of the coin are blurry almost like they did that in photot shop to hide smoething
I ended up with zero 08/07's. Wasn't even into Coins when the 95-W came out.

me neither.. i was as a kid but lost interest.. in High School in the late 1960s i could have been buying Saints for about $40.00 to $60.00 each.. d'oh!.. Gold was $35.00/oz in 1967.. i was buying records and concert tickets and spending money dating gurls.. (and filling the tank of my VW Beetle for three bucks..) ..

I thought I was the only one still hiding a FD-91. I think both my batteries are dead for it though. I had a FD-81 for a week or two before returning it for a FD-91 back in 1998 when I bought it. The eye piece plus LCD were the big selling factors in my case. It provided extra stability when using the eyepiece and holding it by the lens body. Still a great camera if you dont need a HUGE honkin photo. Think I'll pick a battery up off eBay soon.
You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

The seller states that insurance is included in the shipping fee. So $28.50 would be reasonable. I would rather have the coin in a box though.

Why would you waste over $30 on insurance? By sending it registered insured for $4K to $5K $28 is probably a fair charge for SH&I; certainly its not excessive IMO.

I'll just say no - since it ain't PCGS.
imagine that! from your kool-aid signature line, nobody would have guessed that!
there was a PCGS MS69 that sold in a large Sydney auction about 9 months ago. It went for $2700 USD with the buyer's fee. I was tempted to buy and flip to some sucker, but bullion isn't really my thing. $2700 for that one, $3800 for this one. The market looks to be softening for these, so how much lower will they go?
