  mgoodm3 had a bit too much fun looking into the abyss with this close-up shot of the Cracked Planchet Peace $1... that's only about less the 1/4" into the coin. This Peace $1 came back with Ms. Liberty looking a bit violated!

  Sorry Stefanie, even though it looks nice in the photos, it would never slab.
  
  When I bought this (off an E-bay picture) and got it in I was sadly disappointed as it has been whizzed.
  
  I kept it anyway as it was not that much money and it was still ubber cool with all of the cracks and cuds. Some day I will find another example that has some original skin and replace it. You gotta know they struck many more examples right up until the dies fell apart!
