i grew up in a small town where the coin store was named "the wooden nickel".
that seemed nostalgic, i always liked it

If you want people to be able to find it easy in the phone book "The Coin Shoppe".

    Or

    "Coins R Us"

    I like

    "Elite Coins"

or if you are in Longacre's area:

"Elite Coins, Body Piercing and Short Shorts" image

  • If you are opening a coin store depending on how many other BMs are in your area I would start the name with the letter “A”. All business directories are listed in alphabetical order. My family owns a limousine service called A-1 Limousine. When we conducted a survey a few years ago questioning customers as to why they chose our service most stated that we were the first name in the phone book. I would think anyone looking to sell their grandfathers collection would call the first dealer in the book.

Something with Coin in the title and something not at all cutesy-sounding. Intials or towns work well and sound professional I think: "BJW Coins" or "Springfield Coin Investments"
Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.

Based on that, I'd go with "Aardvark Rare Coins".

Actually, studies also indicate that people like family run businesses, so I'd change that to "Aardvark & Sons Rare Coins".

How bout One stop coin shop/station. Come aboard from some great deals. Buy a old caboose and make a cool coin shop in town somewhere where the rent is cheap, don't work out there get a trailer hitch or a tow truck and move to a new location.

Now that's what I would do, but you know me, I'm a idiot,

If your coin shop were next to a bait shop, your shop could be:

    "Pieces of Eight"
and the other shop could be
    "Pieces of Bait"

"Pretty Quarters". With a strong logo emphasis on the "P" and the "Q" in hopes that folks just call your shop the "PQ".

Get a coin store very close to one of the Disney Land amusement parks. Probably best to get commercial space in one of the on-site hotels.

    Call yourself:
