What is the coolest , oddest find have you found in a roll of coins? Doesnt mean it has to be the rarest or most worth while ( even though those really rank up there on the cool-o-meter).


The oddest find Ive managed to locate is this PGA Tour Charter Token out of a roll of pennies.

Also someplace in my box of 2x2s I have a 1994 Woodstock $1. Probably worth nothing but is kinda cool. I think i got that out of a roll of quarters.

    I did not keep it, but once I found a plastic (toy) nickel in a roll. I returned it to the bank with the roll and explained what I had found.

    Never found anything of much value. I found a copper piece from Africa once. I think it's at work, I'll try to photograph it in the next week.

    I never find anything but standard coins in rolls... you guys must search an incredible quantity of rolls to come up with these finds... Cheers, RickO

    this pretty well sums up my roll searching also..I searched 3 bricks of pennies and found 1 wheatie and 1 canadian centimage

    Just searched a $500 box of halves last weekend and found nuthin!

    I was able to fill/upgrade 10 or 15 slots in my circulated Kennedy Dansco though.

    There was one bicentennial half with a sticker on the reverse advertising...

    A Showbiz Pizza 25 cent token in a roll of quarters. I still have it. I believe it would grade XF - AU.

    LOL, I once found a plastic penny in a penny roll. Thought it was an error coin at first because there was no date, but then I realized it was a plastic fake. Never turned it back into the bank, but telling the story over and over to others and thinking about it to myself was worth the 1 cent "ripoff".

    Found one of those a year or two ago in the register at work.

    I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

    You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.
