I am just learning how to grade, but I would give that a 63 just from the picture. For me, O's are tough because of their week strikes. They all look worn.
Thanks for posting. Please post the PCGS grade. (Was it the 55?)

I think the grade is off. Even with the poor strikes of O mints, this one seems odd. Almost like it has been altered/wizzed. I'd say the ear and breast looks like AU50ish wear even though the rest looks better. Perhaps in hand in looks more like a 62.
Wow, very typical of the weak stike O dollars for that decade. I'd say you have a nice 63. Strike is holding it back from anything higher even tho it looks like the contact marks are few and far between.

Thanks - I was kind of hoping you'd do it without cheating as I disagree with the grade PCGS gave it...
So now what grade do you think it shoud have gotten?

<< <i>About 50, I think it is wear I am seeing. Hard to judge very well from the picture. >>
It is not wear.
Morgans struck in New Orleans are typically very weak above the ear and on the eagle's breast feathers.
