Close up pictures of gold make me happy. I hope they make you happy too:

And then another picture...a quarter...and a Silk Worm Moth...Hyalophora cecropia

I was told that these moths don't come further west than the Rockies. This one was on the west coast just north of Fort Bragg, so someone must have been raising them. Probably for hippie silk or something (no idea).
The first closeup I ever took. A dime from circulation.

I need to buy one of the better, crustier, more intersting coins that you all seem to have. I'm getting bored with my stuff.

Very cool!
Liberty's tiara on a 1906 gold half eagle. The camera has picked up some stuff going on in the die around the 'E'.
