Close up pictures of gold make me happy. I hope they make you happy too:

And then another picture...a quarter...and a Silk Worm Moth...Hyalophora cecropia

I was told that these moths don't come further west than the Rockies. This one was on the west coast just north of Fort Bragg, so someone must have been raising them. Probably for hippie silk or something (no idea).

The first closeup I ever took. A dime from circulation.

I need to buy one of the better, crustier, more intersting coins that you all seem to have. I'm getting bored with my stuff.

Here's a close-up of a test cut on a rim of a counterfeit coin. You can see from this picture that it's a Sheffield Plate counterfeit, with impure and highly porous metal inside two thin layers of silver.
