I was thinking of putting it on EBay this weekend along with my other big pulls from Heritage. Maybe you can work a three way trade with somebody since you don't have any vintage?
P.S. I also still have the Jon Smoltz variation if anyone wants to trade vintage for it too!
I see four that sold in the last 30 days: $30 (Buy It Now), $33, $35, and $52. I would trade for a vintage card that is in EX condition that has a full book value of $150. My logic being that if a full book card valued at $150 is in EX condition then it would book at about $75 and usually if you list a $75 card on EBay you will average getting half of that. Just like with the Aparicio. It books for $80 so you should expect about half of that if you sell it which the prices above average to about $40. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!
I'm down to the last five cards I need. Can anyone help? I'd be willing to pay $$ for them (PayPal) or trade.
I need: 195 Carlos Quentin green back 211 Mike Sweeney green back 347 Chuck James green back 448 Dan Uggla SP 490 Vladimir Guerrero SP

I got around to opening/sorting my ad panels today and one of them has crimping damage on the end so if anyone has an extra James Shields/Nate Mclouth/Rich Thompson ad panel let me know what you need for it. It's the last one I need for the set.
Does anyone need any of these before I list them on EBay? I am only trading towards vintage cards that I need for my sets in EX or better condition. See my web site for details:
Complete 2008 Topps Heritage 680 card master set - includes all SPs in the 500 card base set, plus 110 black back cards, all four subsets, the retail only Dick Perez set, and the retail only T-205 set.
<< <i>Still working on these, thanks for trades already made. Paleo would have needed a 448 if someone hadn't beaten me to the punch, story of my life.
I picked up some more over the weekend. These two were in the same box. The Smoltz is up for trade, because I already have one for my set. I am trying to finish a refractor set. It is slow going.

Today I received three Heritage trade packages. As a result, I'm done with the relic set, done with the Wal-Mart set, and done with the team card subset (every year I do an extra Dodger set and team card set, which stand alone from the regular set). All that remains are a handful of chromes and I can put '08 Heritage to bed.
Anyway, as I typed to each of my trade partners, I remarked to Doran how much I have come to look forward to Heritage season like no other, since it means talking and trading with some great guys. To my knowledge, our little gang (and the resulting yearly thread) has never had a single controversy, which I think is pretty unique on the CU boards. I mean, think about it. Every week, there seems to be some blowup about something or another which attracts lots of attention, has various members at odds, and sometimes results in someone either voluntarily or involuntarily leaving CU. Our group here? Nada. Nothing. Not even a blip. I for one treasure that, and I don't think I'm speaking out of turn by saying that sentiment applies to everyone else here, too.
Thanks to all of you for another great hear of Heritage. Most of us are done for the most part, but the trades continue. I was just looking over my subscriptions, and noticed that I'm now subscribed to the last four years of Heritage threads. I'll remain subscribed to them - new guys join the gang every year, and I know that somewhere down the road someone will need info or cards for a given year.
It has been a great year. I can say confidently that there is no better place for heritage set building than right here. There is a virtual heritage history here with all the threads. If I had the money and time I would love to print out every page of every heritage post and put it in a book. Scans, stories and everything!
I had a great week last week. I traded for a few autos that I really wanted and scored an 03 red ink Whitey Ford at a card show. These are cards that I will share with my kids.....long after most of my cards will be gone. I think we should all meet somewhere in 3 years and each rip a case...the heritage 10th anniversary bash. We could put sets together and trade on the spot! Maybe I'm dreaming, but it would be nice to see who I send boxes of cards to year after year!!

You're absolutely right Geordie, even though we didn't trade this year we have in the past and I had a ton of great trade partners this year as well.
I joined the Heritage group in 2006 and subsequently have gone back and worked on all years. There's been a great deal of help from here on those years as well.
The only heritage problem I ever had was last year with a member named TraderShea. We had 2 good trades and then on the 3rd one he never sent the cards or responded to PMs. The first 2 trades were heritage for heritage, but in the 3rd trade I sent him two 1952 Topps Cleveland Indians and got no heritage in return like we had agreed. His post count has not gone up since that day either, so he either moved on, or something happened to him. This was back in May of 2007, and it wasn't that big of a deal which is why I never mentioned it before today. Other than that, you are all a great bunch of guys to trade/talk with, and I'm glad to be a part of the CU heritage trading fun.
The best group, no doubt. Thanks to all for continued heritage fun. I am just finishing collating my base cards and will post a few needs soon. Kevin, let's do the get together - somewhere warm! For now I think we should all post pictures of ourselves so we can at least see a face with the name. Any takers?
I did a couple trades with tradershea last year that went just fine. Both Heritage for Heritage. I agree that I have not seen him on here since then, though.
Ok, this is OT but since we haven't had any scans in a while.......I seem to have a hard time finishing or even getting close on my 2005 set despite receiving cards from both Kevin & Nick recently. I decided to look on line for a box and the pickings were pretty slim, I finally located 1 hobby box at Steve Harts (BBC Exchange).
They arrived Friday and I opened the packs over the weekend, a good box as far as SP's & chromes, etc. went until I pulled this:
I just updated my "My Collections" page on Beckett - Heritage pricing is finally out. Interesting "book" values, at least to me:
Mazeroski Clubhouse Collection: $120 (group A) Minoso Clubhouse Collection: $100 (group Berra Clubhouse Collection: $60 (group A) Gibson Clubhouse Collection: $60 (group A) Aparicio Clubhouse Collection: $50 (group A)
The Santana and Smoltz variations are listed at $80. Hard to believe the Smoltz is listed so low. They've consistently been selling at double that price for at least a month now.
My 1959 BUYBACK Set Project has been coming along nicely, however, the trades have dried up and ebay is getting slower and slower. Anybody have a source for some of these cards? I have only seen 1 #10 Mantle and I have one High Number (#526) and I've not been able to find any others.
I currently have 234 of 572 cards (I will update this as necessary). I would like to trade for as many cards as possible before I have to rely completely on ebay. I will be trading with 2008 Topps Heritage products as well as anything in my Ebay Store.
If you would like to offer a trade, please PM me or email to: dlarson1966@sbcglobal.net I welcome all trade offers. If you have a few buybacks but you would rather not trade, I will purchase cards as well.
I will contiune to update this inital post as I progress along. Thanks to all who have already helped with trades...

Kevin,
I like your idea of a get-together. (I wonder what gas prices will be in 2011?) Do many people on this thread go to spring training? We could have a Florida meeting and an Arizona meeting and tie in a game or two along with case/box openings. Also, thanks to all with whom I've had trades with this year. This thread has a great group of very helpful collectors.
Did we ever get a final Box Topper Panel checklist? I know I could search back through the 97 pages and probably find it, but if someone has it handy can you post it or pm it to me. Thanks!
I hate to admit it, but I have to. A few weeks ago I posted that I purchased a few packs of these Heritage cards at Wal-Mart and I thought all the subsets and different shiny cards, and variations were very confusing and even foriegn to me. Anyway, I lost a few ebay auctions for some of 50's cards and to drown my sorrows I took the kids to Wal-Mart and I snapped and bought 4 boxes of these evil things. I had vowed never to buy any new cards again, but I can't stay away. I promise when my local Wal Mart runs dry I'm on the Wagon forever(until 09 maybe, I don't know). Thanks for letting me confess my sin, Heritage is an addiction, I'm just sorry I joined the party too late.
Well I had sworn off retail and haven't bought any in a week or so, but there is a card show at the mall this weekend so I went yesterday and bought 2 hobby boxes. One box was $60, and one $65. The $65 box yielded another Hafner relic, the $60 yielded this which is not great but the first ink have pulled in awhile.
This was enough for me to justify me going back and buying two more boxes, both $65 this time, the first box had no hit at all, but the 2nd box made up for it.
Out of 18-20 boxes I've opened this year the only ink was Aparicio CC 14/25. Can't complain about that but seems there should have been a real one somewhere.

The Santana and Smoltz variations are listed at $80. Hard to believe the Smoltz is listed so low. They've consistently been selling at double that price for at least a month now.

Collecting all cards - Gus Zernial
Post Cereal both raw and PSA Graded (1961-1963)
<< <i>It has been a great year. I can say confidently that there is no better place for heritage set building than right here. There is a
virtual heritage history here with all the threads. If I had the money and time I would love to print out every page of every
heritage post and put it in a book. Scans, stories and everything!
I had a great week last week. I traded for a few autos that I really wanted and scored an 03 red ink Whitey Ford at a card show. These are
cards that I will share with my kids.....long after most of my cards will be gone. I think we should all meet somewhere in 3 years and
each rip a case...the heritage 10th anniversary bash. We could put sets together and trade on the spot! Maybe I'm dreaming, but it would
be nice to see who I send boxes of cards to year after year!!
Anyways, thanks for everything!
Kevin >>
Kevin,
I like your idea of a get-together.

My Registry Sets
how'd you do with that Spectrum box Nick?
Out of 18-20 boxes I've opened this year the only ink was Aparicio CC 14/25. Can't complain about that but seems there should have been a real one somewhere.
