I carry an 1837 reeded edge bust half in F and an 1937 Walker in VF. My birth year is 1937, and I have been carrying these 2 coins for nearly 30 years.
I used to carry a 1901-O Morgan. Lost it down an elevator shaft... Had been carrying a 21-S Morgan (an unfortunate ebay purchase). I've got a few old and ugly Morgans that I rotate....
I presently carry a 1879-s reverse of '78 in Cleaned AU which is not not cleaned low AU. I also have a Walking Liberty half dollar, 1942-d that has a "z" scratched into the obverse field. Good conversation pieces. I just began carring them in the last 6 months. bob

No, but I carry a 10,000 Colombian peso note, a 50 real (Brasil) note, and an amulet of Nuestra Señora de Carmen (the patron saint of Villa de Leyva, Colombia).

Yes, a 1923 Peace dollar that an old gambling buddy in Reno once gave me. I consider it a good luck charm. I also carry a *really* shiny (improperly cleaned) 1810 half that I got on eBay for $50 a long time ago. That's a real conversation piece.
I've had a 1971 IKE on my keychain for the past 15 or 20 years... reeding is almost gone and it is wearing nicely.
This thread has inspired me to cut the Unc. 1982 Washington Commem 1/2 dollar out of its mylar and start carrying it with me. It's been sitting on my desk for weeks and I haven't gotten around to putting it away... so here goes.....

I generally carry a Peace dollar in my pocket, normally a common date/mm (starting condition low MS to high AU). After some period of time, 6-24 months, I'll give it away to someone I consider worthy/appreciative of getting it. Most people like seeing it and they often are interested when I mention that it is the only US coin with the word PEACE on it.

I don't like carrying pocket change, so why would I intentionally carry silver change?
Just because its silver? Nah.
