you can check the cert number. The higher the number, the more likely it was submitted recently. That would be my guess. That is what I looked for when I purchased 10 of them off eBay when PCGS announced they would grade 70's. The good and bad thing was they all had milkspots on them. I sent them into PCGS and they gave me more than what I paid for them. So I didn't leave the seller negitive feedback even though he lied to me about the spots.
The thing is why would some one re-submit a $30 coin? The grading costs, shipping etc... when you do this twice even if you get MS70 will be hard pressed to make money.

Just does not seem worth the effort to me. >>
I'll take all the 2006-w of your hands for $30 each on second thought...$35 each
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
No chance that these are hitting the melting pot. The 1996s also go for $50-$80 on ebay and there were over 3 million minted but it is the lowest mintge of all the ASE non Ws MS.

FYI .. it's apparent, you have no clue as to what they are selling for on eBay. The PCGS MS70 are selling for $700+ ... the non first strike 20th Anniv. are going for $1,700+ ... "Moon money" for the FS 20th MS70.....(last time I checked...$3500+)...It's well worth to resubmit if you think your coin will grade 70....

You can't. If the coin is resubmitted, in holder, for a regrade, it will retain the same cert# if it stays the same grade. I am not sure if the cert# changes, or not, if it does upgrade....others would know that.
Since PCGS was not doing MS70 for these, when initially released, I don't think it should matter (it wouldn't to me) if it was a resubmitted MS70 or a new one (from an unopened box since you are stating FS)

I have a chance to purchase some, I thought the # changed when they were resubmitted ? so if you resumit, & they do not turn out to be 70's the number ( on the original ) stay's the same?
First Strike 06-W's are very hard to come by cheap.About the only ones that qualified for 1st Strike were from the Gold and Silver 20th anniversary sets.I got some of the first delivered 20th ann.SAE sets and missed the FS date by a few days.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
