Boy could I have made a killing today...

As some of you might know, I had been working with an old gentleman for the past year who was selling off his collection of close to 6 figures. A lot of complete sets of coins (Lincolns, Mercs, Liberty Nics, Buffs, Morgans, Peace, etc) and a ton of proof & mint sets. He passed on a couple of months ago, and his wife emailed me about the remaining items. She described some silver coins in boxes with Liberty on them. I told her they were probably Proof SAE's worth in the $25-$35 range. She said that would be fine and shipped it all out to me and it arrived today.
The box contained an assortment of modern commemoratives, some 1/10th GAE's, some silver eagles and other misc. stuff. At the bottom of the box I found the "Boxes with Silver Coins". A 1997 & a 1998 4-piece Platinum Proof Sets.....
I emailed her to tell her that those were worth a couple bucks more than she thought...

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

For those that don't know, it is Jeff that deserves thanks and not me. He is a Col. and fighter pilot in the USAF and defends our freedom. Knowing you and what you do deserves the thanks!

Maybe this one? (It is the featured Mormon 1849 $5 gold coin on Coin Facts under Pioneer Coins.) I actually owned this coin at one point in time.
I knew it would happen.
Thanks

It is a shame that someone doing the right thing is so shocking in todays world.
