BEWARE OF SCAM!!!!!!!

We received a check today drawn on Citizens Bank , Pennsylvania. The company issuing the check is Craig Bradford Assoc. of PA., INC., 149 Picket Post Lane, Phoenizville, PA. 19460 for approx $10,000. It was sent to us via Fed Ex. and the sender was Herb Wright, 5419 Diamond St. Phila, PA 19131 Phone 215-805-7948. We knew it was fradulent but the scary thing is when we called Citizens to verify the check they told us the account had sufficient funds. I explained the check was a fake and faxed them a copy. They then verified the check was fraudulent but that the check was drawn on a real account and would have gone through if we deposited it and the scammer would have had his bullion and been gone.

Be very careful.

sounds like someone watched the movie "catch me if you can".

thanks for the warning. i am sure dealers appreciate this reminder to be wary.

IMO Yes since the intent is very clear here. Bank Fraud which is a Federal Offense!

The secret service would get involved (with counterfeit cashier's checks) if it were over $25,000 and it (the money) were actually lost (as opposed to foiled).
