Here's mikeschmidt's Panel - and it's a beauty!
I think it's always nice when ya find something out of the ordinary - I remember when the 57T panels surfaced with a Mantle on them - wish I could've picked one up.
Sorry..I meant 150 total. I have a lot of doubles and about 7 or 8 1966 Topps and OPC. I will get some pics up as soon as I get internet back on my computer(Optimum sucked for me). Some of my favorite Mantle's are the 1959 Bazooka, 1967 Dexter Press, 1954 red Heart..I like the oddball cards a lot.
Thanks Stone. A lot of my cards are not high grade but thanks for the compliment. If you check the PSA set registry link on the PSA site search for Mantle Master Set under players you can see photos of a lot of oddball Mantles, just click the photo link. Frank Evanov has a crazy collection and pics of almost all of them

Can't.
I told him he was some kind of Mantle-maniac and he banned from viewing for "one year!"
The SCD Catalog lists somewhere around 675 baseball card issues between 1951 and 1969. Some would obviuosly not have a Mantle in them, but some would have more than one. I bet it is a boat load. It would be interesting to know how many Mantles were issued during his playing days, which would mean going furhter back. Maybe that Frank guy knows. Stone could ask him if he wasn't banned
I think there are about 150-175 from his playing days if you include odd stuff like topps stamps, decals, test issues, coins...maybe even close to 200. I will have to make a checklist one day.
The Mantle master set lists 172. It's obviously missing some, and has some duplication (single cards + panels for Bazooka for instance). My guess is in the same neighborhood as kingbeeswax (who needs a name because that was hard to type).

How many Mantles do I own? This to me was a very good question because I'm always thinking about the ones I don't have instead of the ones that I do have. So I spent the weekend looking through all of my sets and scanning all of my Mantles. None are graded and most are probably VG to VG-EX condition with some exceptions. So anyway heres my tally:
2 Bowmans 54 and 55 36 Topps Every Topps Mantle from sets including Reg. cards, All Star cards, League Leader cards. World Series cards, Action cards and multi-player cards from 1957 thru 1969 1 1954 Red Heart 3 Post Cereal 1 Jello 1 Bazooka 1 1964 Topps Giant 1 1965 Topps Embossed 1 1968 Topps Game Insert TOTAL 47 MANTLE CARDS
Also have all 3 1964 Topps coins. 1966 Topps Rub-Off and 1969 Topps Decal
What the heck, I'll brag. I've got these 16 plus all the All-Star and Combo cards. I've also got the 1956 Topps and 1969 Topps White Letter. All I need to complete the "set" are the 1951-53 and 1955 Bowman cards.

Zero here as well, but I have my eyes on a 1960 AS at the moment which I may pull the trigger on.
Mantle's 1960 and earlier cards have much more visual appeal to me than any of the later issues. Seems like Topps got lazy with the photography after 1960.

Man is that transmogram cool! And no '52 Topps Mick for me (but it's fun to dream.) Maybe one day in a worn-rounded corner "good"? But I have a good run of other Micks going, they're great to pursue, along with his secondary cards (many of those still to go; his AS cards.) All decent to excellent centering, at least I try!

I think it is pretty tough as it's the only one i have ever seen for sale and the seller had no idea what it was. I saw it listed on a site before and theres a tiny pic of it in these ad's:
Oh If anyones wondering that magazine ad has a pic of the 1964 Phillies Blunt card I listed on the previous page. Pretty rare I think. Anyone else have the card?

More than 150, but not by a lot. I don't have my book handy so I can't give you a definite answer.
