    << <i>The second set sold for 3,325.

That makes 4 sets sold in total
    1. bidding - 4,050. (wondercoin)
    2. BIN - 4,095. (wondercoin)
    3. bidding - 3,465. (trailhiker2006)
    4. bidding - 3,325. (trailhiker2006)

    All charged $25 for s/h/i

I'm with Wonder here, how can you sell two such sets within 15 minutes image
Non the less, it sold for less than I thought it would. Am a bit shocked
    ~n >>

Why is anyone shocked??? It is an expensive set that has a mintage that far exceeds collector demand. Of the sets sold, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to think that half of the sets sold already went to the existing and new collector base. Everything that is being sold now is by flippers, Unfortunately the remaining pool of buyers is extremely LOW. This is NOT a key coin in the series. This is clearly exhibited in the recent prices of the PERFECT sets that smoe people (FBH and others) thought would go for MOON MONEY.

You should have paid for express service, it's only $20 more a coin. I sold my 69/70 set for $2350 because I got it early. You won't get that now and most of them are coming back graded that way if you are lucky. Very few 70/70 sets.

Um, I don't plan on selling the coins. I actually do keep them as part of a collection, lol.image

Hey pitboss, that $2,350.00 was yours? You mighta gotten more had you not messed with the price so much,,gotta admit your listing made mine nervous...

And the going rate has dropped quite a bit in less than a week. I expect things will get worse once the log jam is cleared.imagelink

    Just got my results:

    393054 2007-W $50 Statue of Liberty, 10th Anniversary set PR69DC
    393056 2007-W $50 Statue of Liberty 10th Anniversary set, Reverse Proof PR70

Question - is the coin number correct for the First Strike Designation? I paid for First Strike, but I don't see it mentioned.
    Coin numbers: 393054 393056

I'll be putting these on BST later...

so would someone explain why collectors are paying $1576 and $1670 or a RP70 by itself the same day??? if you sold the PR69 for melt your cost for the RP70 would be somewhere in the 1350 range....just dont get the rationality behind the pricing of the set vs. the individual coins yet????

Ok, so I am one of the many who got a RP PR70 and PR69. Should I:

a.) send the RP PR70 off to Teletrade and cross my fingers?

b.) put them both up on eBay as a set?

c.) keep them both and pray that they appreciate with time?
  • Options
sell the proof 69 for melt or a little moreand use the money to purchase a proof 70. It will cost you a little but at least you will have a 70 set.
