NNC?

What's the story with this certification service? I'm seeing a lot of their coins, but very little about how they are regarded in the industry. Any information is appreciated.

Close your checkbook, and look real close at the coin in the plastic. You must decide for yourself what is in the plastic as what is printed on the label is of little use.

They overgrade by at least 2 points on most coins.

    Authentication is questionable as well.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

I bought a couple just to test them. Garbage for the most part. Wanna see a pic? Mike

Stay away. Treat coins in NNC slabs as raw and questionable.

I find their grading standards to be somewhat less than acceptable.

3-5 points overgraded and significant problems are generally ignored for their dealer submitters. Unless you're a hardcore cherrypicker and you really know what you're doing, steer clear.

A coin would only be in a NNC slab that would not make it into a reputable slab
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

There seems to be lots of problem coins in their holders. I got an NNC-66 Morgan into a PCGS-64 holder once... it's the best I've ever done and it made me feel brilliant!

I won't buy NNC coins unless I see them in person first and the price is commensurate with what I think the real grade is.
    When in doubt, don't.

Nine times out of ten (or more), an NNC slab is just a fancy bodybag, the remaining few are wildly overgraded.

I doubt if you will ever see a CAC sticker on an NNC slab......image

At the very bottom of the list. As bad as many ebay self slabbers.

Not only are they generally overgraded by 2 points or more, they are also usually cleaned or otherwise problematic.
