with a child in tow, shows the guy at the counter 6 coins ALL fake- and I really mean fake- a 1903 penny the size of a silver dollar in the ugliest format you could thing of- she asked if they had any value- the guy on the dealer side and I looked at each other and asked where she got em, and what she paid..
Said the hubby bought em off of CRAIGSLIST in L.A. for about $200.00.(slap yourself now is ok.)
She started crying because her HUSBAND dumped a portion of his paycheck on this crap..
She walked out to the bus stop- and waited for the bus- with junk in hand.
the jerk is still on Craigslist- I am gonna call him and see what he has to offer especially on his sweet 1799 Trade dollar..
I hate puke scum basturds.

I've got a ton of email addresses and nothing better to do tonight than to make this scum think he's hit the jackpot.... keep him running in circles answering bogus emails
You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

A fool and his money soon go seperate ways. Im not too sure that I feel any sympathy here. Think about the thousands of gambling husbands, the drug addict husbands, and the alcoholic husbands in the country. If this is the worst thing this guy did, I think the wife should be pretty happy with him. Obviously $200 is not alot of money to this family, otherwise hubby wouldnt have turned it over so quick to purchase something he knew absolutely nothing about. He bought the coins off craigslist. Therefore he had internet access, therefore he could have done some research. Its not like he bought them spur of the moment at a stoplight from his car.
I think she is lying like a rug
especially when the part about he husband spending his paycheck on this crap and crying.......BS...BS.....BS....I call BS........
make her whole...??? She is BS..........send her back to the bus with those slugs......
<< <i>Why would someone spend $200 on something he apparently knows nothing about? >>
People do it all the time with coins, jewelry, clothes, collectables of various kinds. The shop at home TV channels thrive on
those kind of decision makers.
<< <i>I'm not totally convinced the woman wasn't putting on an act to rip a dealer or at least get a few bucks from him out of sympathy. The "child in tow" is a great prop and many women can cry on que. Maybe I'm just too cynical. >>
I agree. Smells fishy.

It's for this reason, that crook's can do this.

with a duck on her shoulder?
and you said what are you doing with that pig?
did the woman say it's a duck?
and I'll bet you told her you were talking to the duck.
(it does sound like you were going to tell us a joke)
sorry to tell him that.....
Gut says however, from what I've read here, she was playing the role.
And don't forget this one: Lady walked into a coin shop today and placed a talking parrott on the counter...

scamming for a few bucks doesnt put you in a Lexus, but will probably buy you a carton or two.

A scammer may take the bus but will vacate the scene of the attempted crime first. And won't cry over spilt milk. A non-productive scam is just another day at the office. i've turned too many of them away to believe she was in on it.

You'd think the third one would have ducked.
