Coins cannot be returned due to grade discrepancies, as any numeric grade given is an opinion, or due to cleaning.
Geesh.
This item uses every buzzword in the title except "certified." I hope that ebay buyers are educated enough to know that no "certified" designation means it's (generally) a scam.

I see no conclusions you can draw looking at this auction except about the seller and the TPG. Nothing to do with plastic in general or top tier graders. --Jerry
I will gladly accept returns if the coin is deemed not-authentic. If not-authentic, I will refund 150% of the purchase price!! You cannot get that guarentee anywhere! Coins cannot be returned due to grade discrepancies, as any numeric grade given is an opinion, or due to cleaning.
Never-Never buy plastic?? Based upon an obviously tainted coin in a unknown third party case. An AU to Bu 1827 half go's for $250 to $500. Begining price is less than $4.00. I don't understand how that would equate to never buying Coins encased in plastic.
Sure, Numismatic Grading Service (NGS) may "GUARENTEE" authenticity.......However, only the skilled artisans at Southern Numismatic Grading Authority (SNGA) hand paint the "yellow sun" over the Coin World logo (turnaround times subject to availability of yellow nail polish).

Another words there is no return. Of course it's authenic, but it's a cleaned VF Bustie.

Actually, it's a typical example of a crappy Ebay scam using a self-slab. As pointed out by several others, this has nothing to do with buying coins in reputable holders.
<< <i>LOL he changes his ebay name every 6 months....... >>
Poor Ebay..stock has dropped almost 20 % from it's high...analysts now downgrading the stock for slower growth....well let in scammers, while knocking down honest sellers. No wonder , I and my collector club friends have sharply curtailed Ebay purchases in 2007.
Some are missing FEVER's point. Make your buying decision from an assessment of the coin itself, regardless of the TPG, this is an extreme example of gross overgrading of a cleaned coin. There are PCGS and NGC slabbed coins that are overgraded, cleaned, misattributed, AT'ed, dipped...

Generally when a point is so strongly overstated that there is no logic ties between the evidence presented and the conclusion drawn, it will be missed. Readers clearly don't like the auction referenced but can't make the leap to the conclusion in the subject line. --Jerry

NGS graded!!! What case are you resting?
Another 4th tier slabber that I never heard of. I'm surprised that it's only graded a 65.
even silver :-|
<< <i>Maybe frankcoins will get it for 1 cent...
but then he'll whine that he can't resell it on the 'bay using the NGS name
