Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. One of my all-time best cherrypicks- I cherrypicked this one from eBay for $29.00 a few years ago...the photo was from a distance and was blurry, but I could see feather detail, so I bought it. Boy, was I surprised when it arrived in the mail, and I saw the grade and that it was a type of '56!

I really though this was a 1858/7. I have a 58/7 in PCGS holder that is graded F15 . This one in hand I can see remains of the 7 but not as clear as my F15. I must just be seeing things. I thought I had a nice cherry pick for $30.00. Guess I was wrong. I will have to send it off with some others to Rick for his Eagle Eye Attribution Card, If anyone will know it will be Rick.
