Why? They're being made there...of lead.
  • GWB is doing this to pi$$ off china and the Dems are pi$$ng off Turkey. Wonder who will be next?

China deserves it. Turkey is a valuable ally and the Dems are merely trying to make victory in Iraq more difficult.

See you added Iran (will destroy Israel with nuclear weapon) and Russia (will help Iran build nuclear weapon) and Korea. Do you mean North Korea? Isn't it OK with you that we piss them off, even though the President has gotten them to announce an end of their nuclear weapon ambitions? You may have missed that last since mainstream media didn't report it.

more stunning ignorance, (and, perhaps from the tone, proud of it!)...

    stunning, oh, never mind...

  • I like this medal.... but not the price. I was expecting something closer to the Liberty "spouse" medal price ($3.50)... not $38. I'd even go $13.50, but I guess I'll have to pass.

the little one (1 1/2 inch) is $3.75

Oh, cool ~ I didn't see that. Sounds more like what I'll buy a few of, thanks for pointing that out!

Not so bad. It's not quite what I had hoped but still not too bad. I think I might get myself one. I never thought I'd see the day when I would buy a medal from the mint. Of course, it hasn't happened yet but I think it will this time.

I went ahead and did it.

    Far out.

I have no interest, so no.

I like the medal. The Dalai Lama spoke at the University at Buffalo not too long ago and I'm very sorry I couldn't go. He is a very interesting man.

  • Not I. On another note, did you see that idiot Nancy Pelosi grabbing across the Dalai Lama for the gold medal just after President Bush handed it to him? What a stupid Beech!

No, I have other interests in the 'medal' field. Cheers, RickO
  • I haven't seen any reports of busy lines at the mint or the web site being overloaded.

I have no interest in medals but if it pisses the commie pinko Chinese off then I'm happy to buy one. The Chinese haven't exactly been very good to us lately. IMO.

This thread is sorta coin-related here and there.

But this place could still use a good Open Forum.

There, people like Sumnon could use terms like "far out" with near impunity. image

I tivo'd and watched the entire presentation, but, stunningly, never saw this alleged "grabbing across..."
  • Well then you blinked or something. Look on your recording at the point where they all stand up and start yakking.
