I'll let you guys know if blasters are any good (they have been nice for me) on Wednesday. I have a case coming. Anything will be better than Retail case.
That being said, my experience has been thus: Retail, terrible for hits, good for set building. Hobby (boxes), not that great. 1 Auto out of 3 boxes. Loose hobby packs (about 1 hobby box worth) Great (the ARod auto and a Bazooka). Blasters, really good for set building with the occassional good mini hit (2 Bazookas, 1 snake, 5 or 6 relics). Best deal, lots on EBAY.

Good luck with all of those packs. I sent you a PM with a trade possibility, but I reckon you may end up with a bunch of the minis you need after 128 packs. If not, though, I've got them saved back just in case we can form up a trade.

4 regular size SPs 3 regular back minis 1 regular back mini SP 1 A&G back mini 1 black border mini 1 flag 1 Arod 1 Snake - Black Mamba (tough pull and I needed it)
I just opened 3 blaster and 5 loose packs from my local target. Each blaster had a hit in it. no snakes or no number whites 1 prince fielder bat 1 adrian Gonzalaez blue ink 1 mark Zupan blue ink( Probably the best of the 3)
I went to 3 stores and not much left in the way of boxes around here. I had one hit in every blaster. Is that common?
Help please. Just finished opening a hobby box and got a mini that is brown in color of Mark Selby and it is numbered 124. But, it also had a triangular shaped hologram on the back with 1/1 and a 6 digit serial number. Below the hologram are 3 ink lines, one short, one long, one short. Any idea on what it is or how to describe it on ebay? The only other thing in this box is a cut square relic of Miguel Cabrera and a A-rod 262 home run card. I didn't think the hobby boxes came with a perez steel card in every pack but this one did No snakes, no emperors, no autographs, no smiley faces for me. Thanks, Cliff

Serious as a heart attack. I couldn't figure out why it looked so different. They even covered up part of the writing on the back with the hologram. I guess I'll see what it'll do on ebay. Since it's a snooker card, where would the best category to list it under? Thanks for the good words. I appreciate it. Cliff

Nice case, Nick. You should be really happy with the hits A&G has given you this year between the hobby and blaster cases.
Not sure I can do the same blow-by-blow rip that you did on Wednesday because it's being delivered to work and I'm not sure I can wait until I get home. That and my wife doesn't, for some unknown reason, appreciate my addiction/hobby and wouldn't really like me to be sitting down at prime time to open some "stupid baseball cards"
My problems aside, congrats and it looks like are you starting the beast that is going after all the parallel sets. Once you go black, it's a tough nut to crack.
Just wanted to add my own two cents. So far, I've gone through 5 hobby boxes, 5 boxes of the non-hobby 24 pack whatever the hell they are called and 6 retail 7+1 boxes. The hobby by far are obviously the most rewarding. My four auto's were all from hobby and I got a rip card and pulled the mini #377 bonds. Figured I'd have to buy a case to luck into a rip card but got lucky. The 24 pack non hobby things were F'n terrible. Three Brian Roberts relics says it all. The retails actually have done better. Four bazooka backed from them and lots of A&G backed as well. This is amazingly addictive, I just bought a hobby case, never thought I would buy a case of anything.
Am I correct that no number black mini's are NOT rare? Just some enigma?

You still did better than I did with the retail. I went through TWO 24 pack retail boxes and didn't get ANYTHING. No autograph, no relic, no bazooka, no rip, no nothing. The best card I got was a no-# Hideki Matsui.
I bought my first packs of A&G today in the form of 3 retail 7+1 boxes. I really know nothing about this set, not even subtle differences, but I'll try to list what I pulled here. If I'm listing things that aren't important, sorry about that. I really enjoyed the pulls. Here are my totals:
3 Black Border Minis - Tim Lincecum RC, Lance Berkman, Dontrelle Willis 2 Flag Minis - UAB, Jamaica 1 Emperor Mini - Caesar Augustus 1 Auto - Misty May-Treanor 1 Relic - Manny Ramirez Bat 7 A&G Back Minis 11 Regular Back Minis 2 ARod Road to 500s - 273 and 274 10 Dick Perez Sketch Cards
As for the base cards, I don't know which are most notable to list, if any. I don't know what is most desired. Maybe my finds were average, but I have to say, I'm extremely happy with my $60 purchase. It was very fun. Now that I know I like the set I want to purchase a hobby box.
