A message from the 2nd highest bidder on eBay
This message had to make me smile. I came through the eBay message system and the person is not happy about losing.

C'mon Tell us how you really feel
<< <i>I love to snipe... always a winner... Cheers, RickO >>
Me too but sometimes I take it in the "split" with those huge snipes!
I guess the underbidder was cussing at his PC for lagging otherwise he/she mighta got that snipe in..............
The name is LEE!
<< <i>Damn...I didn't know you were going to post it here. >>
LOL!!!!
I have to laugh at the underbidders moronic note.
If you are going to keep the item, I would simply reply "You should have bid more".
If you are not going to keep the item, then I would sell the item to the guy at a 100% profit - take it or leave it.
In either case, I would wait a week and send that message to Ebay.
I'd love to see a link to the auction.

<< <i>What a bunch of up tight people there are here. That was freaking hilarious and obviously meant to be so. >>
x2!
I agree. Don't be so serious. Lighten up a little, for Pete's sake.

<< <i>In the early days, before pretty much everybody started sniping, I used to get nastygrams from underbidders.

Yea, but you probably desired it!
before the 2nd chance offer I used to buy lots of tools. When I was second bidder (or even first bidder at a price I liked) I would often message the seller asking if they had more. Many times they did. I once bought a $100 lathe cutoff tool and insert set for about $15 IIRC. It sold cheap because his description sucked and you had to know what he was trying to describe or be able to recognize a very bad photo. I messaged the seller whose other auctions were art and music and he had come on these at an auction (or some other vague method) and had about 30 more of them which I bought.--jerry
Some years ago when I sniped an item I had a Coast Guard Chief email me and tell me " to come out and bid like a man. " I thought about it for awhile but decided I would rather keep the money in my pocket.

Some messages are intended as congratulatory , but teasing comments and sometimes people can go bark up a tree.

I have a cable modem service that, because there are too many people hooked in for the available bandwidth (this is NYC we're talking about), always seems to hang up for a few seconds atthe most inopportune moments.
So I always use a sniping service.

<< <i>I alway bid the last 10 seconds the highest I am willing to pay. Usually get it for a lot less, and I usually win. >>
You mean you SNIPE??????
j/k I do it a lot, too. And the same way you do!
