    It has a far more dramatic name than appearance, in my opinion.

    There is a faint S on the eagle's chest hence the name Superbird.

    There are a couple of Teletrade's July 4 auction.

    I have been hoarding these for years. Try finding one in cameo - they are much tougher to find. I used to be able to cherrypick this variety with ease - now they are much tougher to find.

    I don't think they are particularly rare - manyhave been sold on Teletrade in the last 6 months.

    As TomB pointed out... it is not very prominent. Certainly a minor variant. If I saw a raw '52, I would look for it, but I would not go out of my way to add it to my collection. Cheers, RickO
