I'm going to sell my 20, then buy a nice XF 1893 S Morgan. When somebody asks me what it costs, I'll tell them it was a free gift from the U.S. Mint!

I am not saying the car is an investment, it just sounds better to non-collectors.

Not until they sell. The price is listed as $4000 for all 4 but an offer was declined. When it gets SOLD for that amount is when they are $1000 each.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • LALASD4LALASD4 Posts: 3,602 ✭✭✭
Yeah, only 3 sets sold for $4k so far, the others are a little less.

And these are only "not-guaranteed-we-can-actually-ship-the-coins" pre-sales.
What happens when sellers actually offer up "coins in hand" auctions? And then
I can see the sealed box mania start up again too... Nutty.

This goes for the buyer. You must claim and pay your states' tax on anything you purchase on line.

Why insure? Isn't it the responsibility of the buyer?

Since eBay provides no option for registered mail in the listing form, that's likely the case.

He must have had some help buying. No way he gambles a 70 on only 5 coins submitted. Yes, his loss is "only" a PR70 07 Silver Eagle, but still.

    Of course, it is NGC.

So a seller orders these then he pre-sells them then that buyer pre-sells them... I wonder how deep it can get by July 5th or whenever the mint starts sending these? image

If the prices keep rising there might be a lot of sneaky sellers trying to get out of the early sales.

I wonder, 4 coins, if they all grade 70, = New Harley, sounds like a good deal...
