Might be album, or it might be from one of those old black holders that proof sets from this era were frequently holdered in. It has a complete original undipped skin covering the surfaces.

OMG, Airedale, that is a GORGEOUS set!!! image I believe that calls for a YOU SUCK award!!! That Washington quarter is particularly impressive for cameo contrast for that era.

    That is a beautiful Walker.

I have always thought that the Walker design was one of the better on coins.

Too bad they don't make them for circulation like that anymore.

An attractively toned MS 65 or MS 66 SLQ can hold its own against any other coin. However, the SLQ is the scarcest series with attractive toning that I have seen. I think I've only seen 3 or 4 of them.

Too bad there ain't many CAM or DCAM Walkers. I have never seen one, anyway. (Edit: the one Airedale posted above is about the closest I've seen to a CAM!)

Is there such a beastie, with true black-n'-white contrast and not just weak CAM? If there is, I'll bet it costs about the same as a nice used car, if not a new car.
