I think that I am going to stop selling Heritage for awhile on ebay. Tonight I had 2 auctions end and wasn't happy with the results of either one.
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

No problem, don't like the auction results? Just let the buyer pay and then don't send the item. You win and screw the buyer. Ebay doesn't care. Ebay will protect your true identity from the lousy buyer. I'm sure you can handle a few nasty emails from the buyer and a pleading request from ebay to send the item. Not to worry though, just ignore it.
Ya, you can take this tonque in cheek. I am so sick of getting ripped. My latest result was that ebay found the 'investigation" in my favor and rewarded $80 of the $117 I paid for two boxes of Heritage. That was three weeks ago after a month wait. Money should of been in my paypal account by now (ten days max I was told). So now I need to open a dispute with ebay I suppose.

I sold a complete set of Mantle HR's 1-42 for $15.50 and a complete set of the Yellow Team for $10.10. Maybe my expectations were to high?
I did sell a master set with all the inserts (604) for $319.00 about a week ago. Compared to what others have been selling for I was pretty pleased wit that one.

Wow, I can tell you when the set was just arriving on the scene, I paid $42 for the complete 33 card yellow set. Too bad. I am still trying to finish up my first set and am buying SP's for $1-$2 apiece. I am buying anything in that price range, to use as trading material for this year and following years sets. Hope you have better luck in the future...John

worst time to sell: 2 months after a heritage release best time: 3 weeks prior to through one month after the release.
I know it sucks to put this stuff away, but every year there are more people into this. You should be able to make some trades, and that means next years set will be less costly to put together.
Has anyone calculated the amount of money in all the fun?

stumbled across this forum while looking for info for the card I pulled yesterday out of a hobby box. Best card that ever fell out of a pack into my lap - I'm still blown away
anyone else know of any others that have popped up so far? Looked on Ebay and I see a blue one for sale but no reds.
Just for the heck of it, I was checking through closed Clubhouse Collection and Flashback seat auctions. I know some have noticed that prices have dropped like a stone on some cards, but I was stunned on some of the final prices on seats. Did I miss an announcement that some seats were SPed?
Spahn seat - $100.99 However, just five days earlier, one closed for only $2.80. Even a base Flashback went for $10.50.
In other relic news, as soon as a package from Rick (Bunker) arrives, I'll be done with the '07 relics - in fact, I'll be done with all seven years of relics. Other than nailing down the final few GU, I kinda got bored with Heritage. I did bust a blaster on Sunday - same ol', same ol'. I'm down to a dozen or so SPs to finish up set #2, and still need a dozen or so chrome. I suppose I'll eventually finish 'em off.
I just recently started buying cards again after about a 7 year hiatus. Shame I missed all these great Heritage sets. Decided to just buy Topps stuff this year and bought a couple of Series 1 and then decided to get into the Heritage. Pulled the Howard out of my 5th box - all from different places. No plans on selling it.
Been very interesting reading through this thread. Must have spent about 3 hours last night going through all 84 pages. Too bad I'm about 2 months late getting in on the fun.

When two guys are outbidding each other for the same card strange things happen like you have seen. Those cards will not hold that value -- I really doubt that they are SP's.

Anyone who has opened more than a few boxes of this stuff knows that the seat cards are hard to pull. It was long when demand overtook supply. I say this every year, heritage master set builders only care about one thing...tracking down the cards they need. If you put this set together every year and get all the cards, then that means you need the next years cards even more.
I just got the beckett today and there were some interesting moves. All the SP's went up, so did the Miller base card and all of the big SP's like Jeter and Pujols. Many of the real one red autos went down. I haven't been checking ebay alot, but it seems like the opposite is true.

only have 6 relic cards and they're all C group. Don't have any extra Chromes at the moment - have about 15. Still gonna buy a few more boxes if I can find them. I've only been sorting for 1 set so as far as SPs go, I have no idea what else I have for trade. I'll get them all sorted out and post a list maybe this weekend. Thanks guys
As for the seat cards, I think I got 5 or 6 of them out of 8 cases. None were auto'd.

Hello - All....anyone have about 50 commons they are looking to part with? I do not collect the Heritage issue, but my 7 year old son loves these cards for some reason. My guess is the bright colors and "big heads" as he calls it.

Woo hoo! Done! I received the last relic yesterday (Wilhelm seat) from Rick (Bunker). Got all seven years finished up and can now rest until next March when '08 Heritage ships. I appreciate all the kind comments from the folks who have posted here, and especially the help that has been offered and given by so many. My sig has a link to my Heritage relic pages, where the front and back of each card has been scanned, and present much more nicely against a black background.

Got a wild hair a couple of weeks ago, and bought 1 hobby box of Heritage at a local shop. Pulled a Ray Crone auto (which was probably the worst thing that could have happened), so I picked up a case of 20 blaster boxes. Some initial thoughts, which I'm sure have been beaten to death.
- The Mantle and ARAH cards are awful. Pulling 20 of the same Mantle is a joke.
- Why on earth is the chrome set so full of scrubs? I mean, the players people actually want don't even appear in the chrome set. Booooo.
- The cards smell good and the gum is still a tasty treat.
- Jiminy Christmas, the refractors are hard to pull. 2 pulled in 20 blasters.
- The only goods from the blaster case were 2 refractors (Johjima and some Mexican dude), 2 GU (Piazza and Wainwright), 15 chromes, and enough Mantles and ARAHs to build myself a neat little fort in the living room.
I sold most of my Heritage off, and I'm glad I did. It was a lot of fun, and I think I actually made some money. In the end, it just wasn't worth it to me any more. I wasn't really enjoying the cards as much as I used to. I think I'm going to slowly get back into the game, but where I used to focus on the higher-end stuff, I'll probably just stick with buying cases on the cheap and building the base, chrome, and refractor sets. I have a ton of SPs and Chromes from earlier years, and in the next couple of weeks, I'll build a new dedicated trade site for them. So I guess if anyone has any refractors to trade (any years), just shoot me a PM with what you need.
Good to see all the familiar icons, and I will be popping my head in every now and again when I can get around to it.
Also, sell your 2005 Base Heritage Tyler Clippards right now. Base cards were going for $20 last night. Chromes and refs are insane. I picked up a black ref for $10 2 years ago, and sold it in the first wave. Ouch. Sold all my Clippard base (10 of them) for $35 a month ago. Double ouch.

Ebay will protect your true identity from the lousy buyer. I'm sure you can handle a few nasty emails from the buyer and a pleading request from ebay to send the item. Not to worry though, just ignore it.
Ya, you can take this tonque in cheek. I am so sick of getting ripped. My latest result was that ebay found the 'investigation" in my favor and rewarded $80 of the $117 I paid for two boxes of Heritage. That was three weeks ago after a month wait. Money should of been in my paypal account by now (ten days max I was told). So now I need to open a dispute with ebay I suppose.

In other relic news, as soon as a package from Rick (Bunker) arrives, I'll be done with the '07 relics - in fact, I'll be done with all seven years of relics. Other than nailing down the final few GU, I kinda got bored with Heritage. I did bust a blaster on Sunday - same ol', same ol'. I'm down to a dozen or so SPs to finish up set #2, and still need a dozen or so chrome. I suppose I'll eventually finish 'em off.

I just recently started buying cards again after about a 7 year hiatus. Shame I missed all these great Heritage sets.
Decided to just buy Topps stuff this year and bought a couple of Series 1 and then decided to get into the Heritage.
Pulled the Howard out of my 5th box - all from different places. No plans on selling it.
Been very interesting reading through this thread. Must have spent about 3 hours last night going through all 84 pages.
Too bad I'm about 2 months late getting in on the fun.
When two guys are outbidding each other for the same card strange things happen like you have seen. Those cards will not hold that value -- I really doubt that they are SP's.

when demand overtook supply. I say this every year, heritage master set builders only care about one thing...tracking down
the cards they need. If you put this set together every year and get all the cards, then that means you need the next years
cards even more.
I just got the beckett today and there were some interesting moves. All the SP's went up, so did the Miller base card and all of the
big SP's like Jeter and Pujols. Many of the real one red autos went down. I haven't been checking ebay alot, but it seems like the
opposite is true.

- The Mantle and ARAH cards are awful. Pulling 20 of the same Mantle is a joke.
- Why on earth is the chrome set so full of scrubs? I mean, the players people actually want don't even appear in the chrome set. Booooo.
- The cards smell good and the gum is still a tasty treat.
- Jiminy Christmas, the refractors are hard to pull. 2 pulled in 20 blasters.
- The only goods from the blaster case were 2 refractors (Johjima and some Mexican dude), 2 GU (Piazza and Wainwright), 15 chromes, and enough Mantles and ARAHs to build myself a neat little fort in the living room.
I sold most of my Heritage off, and I'm glad I did. It was a lot of fun, and I think I actually made some money. In the end, it just wasn't worth it to me any more. I wasn't really enjoying the cards as much as I used to. I think I'm going to slowly get back into the game, but where I used to focus on the higher-end stuff, I'll probably just stick with buying cases on the cheap and building the base, chrome, and refractor sets. I have a ton of SPs and Chromes from earlier years, and in the next couple of weeks, I'll build a new dedicated trade site for them. So I guess if anyone has any refractors to trade (any years), just shoot me a PM with what you need.
Good to see all the familiar icons, and I will be popping my head in every now and again when I can get around to it.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009.
