Nope, that's what I paid probably the same place. I will tell you that out of one retail case I got 3 clubhouse collection, 29 chrome, 11 refractors, no autos. I was thinking about trying a hobby box just to see if the pulls were any better.
finally got to target to pick up a blaster box and lo and behold what i got! i'm not a huge fan of the 58 series, but this altered version with the auto is pretty darn cool!
ps. anyone still need any singles, sp's? i have a few from the box.
I was a little bored this morning, so I went back to the first few pages of this thread, and found a few funny quotes from Kevin.
Monday December 18, 2006 12:36 AM - I hope you all allow me to voice my opinion over this info. I have talked it over with another heritage buddy of mine and we have come to the same conclusion. This product looks weak.
Friday February 16, 2007 5:28 AM - Im looking and looking but I still see no reason to buy this product.
Then he hit the product harder than Ike hitting Tina. That's our Heritage God. LOL

......and acutally I was right on the money. Heritage was by far the weakest of the 2007 topps products so far....and the only product currently selling for less than cost (far less). Heritage collectors were willing to overlook that and buy it and love it. Topps knows that and I think they will be forced to make less next year and to correct the chrome odds.
As a collector on many modern product Im always a bit critical of heritage. The end of the year is always a strong time for baseball products. Im used to getting multiple hits and that increases value. I would buy 2 boxes of trilogy for 300 bucks and get 7 autographs, but 300 dollars in heritage would only get you maybe 1. Still the collectors here make it fun.....and sometimes fun is all we need!
You guys over use the word "product" way too much. Man does it feel like I am at yet another sales seminar
Anyway, I am one of "those" guys who buys Heritage because I love the vintage/modern concept. I don't collect anything else modern so FOR ME the number of cases and what that means for pull odds is irrelevant. I will buy Heritage until they stop the issue.
Now, with that said, I can certainly see my guys like Kevin are growing increasingly frustrated. Wanting odds on the bigger pulls that reflect the first few years of Heritage would certainly go a long way in stopping the free fall of prices 2-3 months after the hard core guys are done. There is certainly nothing wrong with wanting to see these modern sets hold their own as far as re-sale goes.
Seeing 2007 master sets go for $255 on Ebay when I've spent $350 on hobby boxes and blasters (and I'm still 40 cards short of a master set) is really sickening.
Here is my updated list. I also need base cards. I am trying to complete 3 base sets. I have my want/trade list on a spread sheet and can email to anyone who is also trying to complete base sets.
I am also willing to trade for: Topps 52, 2006 Turkey Red and 2006 A&G.
Cards Needed:
Mantle: 34
Clubhouse Collection Needed: (I have 54 of 66)
Jose Reyes, Ryan Howard, Ben Sheets, Chase Utley, Yogi Berra, ,Toni Hunter, Victor Martinez, Yadier Molina, Chris Duncan, David Ortiz, Jimmy Rollins, Albert Pujols
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
I think its better to come into this product blind. There are much better products in terms of value, and that has been proved by what cases are going for on the secondary market. I wish I had those blinders on but I don't. If anyone is going to rip A&G you will see what value is. Actually heritage has been a pretty good value at least early on, but if they keep messing with the chromes and cutting the checklist of the big players, then it will at some point not be worth it.
There are already a few here who waited until after the hype to buy wax....I could never do that, but it would save you money!
Thought I'd make a public plea for the last relic I need to finish up '07. If you have a Hank Blalock jersey sitting around, I'd love to hear from you. I'll reward you handsomely.

I used two binders this year. The D-ring binders with the clear mylar pockets on the front and back will fit all the felts if you use all four sides of two binders. The coverings are pretty tight and the felts won't slide around. Looks cool too.
BakerBear.....After you have checked with the above posters, I would love a shot at these autos. LMK some players specifically you are looking for. I also have rookie autos and prospects
Well, I ordered my 2006 heritage baseball retail case from blowout today ($357.00 for 8 boxes), and it should be here by Wednesday. Doran (Heritage addict) already has said he will do some 2006 Heritage trading with me, and hopefully some of you guys that arent finished with 2006 will do some trading also once I post my lists (probably late this week or early next). Thanks to all you guys for all the help past and future.
I have a number of 2006 SP's/Inserts/Chromes, etc. that I would be more than happy to help you out with. I think I need another 8-10 cards to finish up my set - just a little more occupied right now on the 2007...anyways, let me know when you get yours in and I'll see what I have.
Ya, I need about 20 SP's and maybe 20 chromes to finnish the '06 set. I should have quite a few SP's to deal with once you get your list up.
For 2007 I need SP's:4,14,22,32,58,67,76,77,94,104,112,131,140,167,186,221,222,248,249,266,311,312,330,347,366,375,410,428,456,473,492 T&N 9, NA 6,7,12,13

Ah yes, the Cavalry has arrived to rescue me. Thanks boys, and hopefully more will chime in once I post lists (and pictures of some sweet pulls I better get lol) later this week.
My 2006 retail case will be here tomorrow, so does anyone have an excel spreadsheet (or the like) with the 2006 Heritage baseball SP's, variations, etc.... on it? Thanks
Just wanted to thank all of my trading partners that helped me complete my version of this year's Heritage: softparade, five7teen, TNP777, tzhal, parkerj, kmnorton, MikeyLikesIt, MS70Dreams, goose3, Pharber, Archstanton, KOBEcollector, magellan and nam812. All of you are a great bunch of guys and every trade went off without a hitch.
Because of the seeding ratio, I decided against completing the chrome set this year (I completed them the previous two years). I also didn't try to complete the Mantle and ARod chase sets, nor the felt box-topppers. Having all of these cards as trade-bait made it much easier (and cheaper!) to complete this year's set, which included for me: the base set (384 cards), SP set (110), yellow variations (33) and the three basic insert sets (35), for a grand total of 562 cards.
In 2005 and 2006 I spent almost identical amounts completing my master sets which included the chromes ($800 each year, a little more than half on boxes and the rest on singles/lots from eBay and the boards). This year I spent only $544 on 5 hobby boxes and 9 blasters. From these boxes I completed 95.6% of the base set, 55.5% of the SPs, 45.5% of the yellows and 74.3% of the basic inserts. I also pulled 7 relics, one blue auto (Kell from a hobby box) and one red auto (Henrich from a blaster). I completed my set by trading with the community members listed above.
Every year collecting and trading Heritage is a pleasure on these boards, can't wait for 2008! Thanks again, guys.
OK, it is done The Last two refractors have been acquired..... When they arrive I will have completed the 2007 Topps Heritage Chrome Refractors set xx/558

Well, my 2006 retail case came today, and I got 2 of the strangest cards. They are 2005 Team Topps autographs. 1 of Jim Leyritz and 1 of Johnny Podres. I looked them up, and they are tough pulls oddswise, but no big deal pricewise. What the heck were they doing in a 2006 Heritage retail case? Anyone have any info, or any pulls like these from their 2006 Heritage quest? Here's a scan:

nam812, Topps is notorious for putting their "Team Topps Legends" autographed cards into the Heritage product for the last 2 or 3 years. I pulled several Johnny Podres last year and the year before I believe. Although I believe mine were considered to be 2003 or 2004 Team Topps Legends.

I use the postcard pages. Here is a Link. You will need to tape the opening to prevent them from sliding out.
If you only need the pages for the felts, send me your address via e-mail (dhalpen@dwl-law.com). I have some that I can send to you.

When they arrive I will have completed the 2007 Topps Heritage Chrome Refractors set xx/558
Thanks to all members who helped out with trades and sales

97 SP's - 14 are duplicates (11 of the 14 duplicates were from one box)
16 chrome/1957
5 chrome refractor/557
1 black refractor/57 - Harridge/Giles

2 Stadium seats - Mazeroski and Kaline
1 Blue Auto - Ernie Banks
2 2005 Team Topps autos - Leyritz and Podres
<< <i>Well, my 2006 retail case came today, and im 4 boxes into it so far (yes I know its 5:23 AM), but I got the strangest card. It is a 2005 Team Topps autograph of Jim Leyritz. I looked it up, an it's a tough pull oddswise, but no big deal pricewise. What the heck was it doing in a 2006 Heritage retail case? Anyone have any info, or a pull like this from their 2006 Heritage quest? Here's a scan:

nam812,
Topps is notorious for putting their "Team Topps Legends" autographed cards into the Heritage product for the last 2 or 3 years. I pulled several Johnny Podres last year and the year before I believe. Although I believe mine were considered to be 2003 or 2004 Team Topps Legends.
