Keeping with the Mountie theme, picked this one up at a local coin show two weeks ago. The guy is a local who deals exclusively in Canadian coins. Saw a nice 1972 Voyageur toner, bought it, asked if he had other toners and he produced this from his stack of stuff. Well, for $8, how could I NOT buy it. It is a bit dark (black dark) and a bit splotchy, but there is some nice color lurking in the shadows. I'd like to have seen this on a few years back. I'll show the Voyageur tomorrow - today, here is the Mountie.
Hadleydog - if that's your first ... I can't imagine what you'll do for an encore. Nice Morgan.

<< <i> Hey Ron, when ya gonna' break out the 'A' box stuff? >>
Ummm - Maybe I can find some of my nice toners down in the bank vault. What exactly should I look for? - high grade or just nice color? Do they need both? Will somebody who knows what nice color looks like please help me? Should I look for coins like the Peace Dollar that Cladiator posted above? Can't you tell from my handle (NEWmismatist) that I'm NEW at this. Could anybody help me here? I'm so confused.
Should the nice ones look like this?
I've missed about 10 days here - should I just post 10 of my nicer toners all at once and be done with it?
Collecting eye-appealing Proof and MS Indian Head Cents, 1858 Flying Eagle and IHC patterns and beautiful toned coins.

pharmer, I WANT that coin! ... listen, what is that playing in the distance? "Dueling Banjos"? Why, I believe it is, Mr. pharmer. Sharpen your shovel and prepare to dig deep my friend. (I am lovin’ this post and salivating at the thought of what might happen in the next few weeks). Until tomorrow.
