I broke my cherry and joined the Heritage party by picking up 2 hobby boxes this past week.

They were a blast to open and sort through. I am completey new to the whole sp, chrome, refractor, etc thing that it will take days and days of reading this thread and absorbing as much as I can to catch up to what the heck all of this stuff is.

Though it was fun opening the 2 boxes I was a bit surprised in how little I pulled. Maybe it was about the average, I just dont have any previous experience to know for sure.

Out of the 2 boxes I didnt get a single auto. I pulled one black chrome card which was # 42 Konerko. Only one chrome refractor which was # 47 Peralta, and 4 chrome cards, #'s 40-Varitek, 52-Meredith, 78-Carlos Lee, and 107-Joaquin Arias. The only clubhouse colection card pulled was Ervin Santana jersey card.

I pulled a bunch of the new age performers cards including Pujols, Johan Santana, Alfonso Soriano, along with maybe 15-20 of the yellow name SP variations.

Maybe someone can give me an idea of whether what I pulled was around the norm. I didnt go into this with anything other than having fun in mind, so it definately wasnt a let down either way.

All of the SP's, chromes, etc are available if anyone is in need.

I busted a couple of hobby boxes this week for the first time and those are about the same numbers that I pulled of the refractors, jerseys, sp's etc. with no auto.

This morning, while going through a few boxes of old Heritage cards, I must have misplaced a few and just found them again.

There were a handful of chromes and a bunch of SPs and these . . .

Card number 175---- Think if Andy is going to make it, he might need to bulk up a tad. Craig in Ohio

    Hello everyone.

I came across the board about a week ago while I was searching for the Heritage SP list. What a great site! I have gotten 4 hobby boxes and about 3 blasters and have had ok success with my pulls, this is the first year I’m doing Heritage though so I don’t know what else to compare my openings to other than what others have posted their pulls have been. No ink yet, but I have pulled 5 relics, 19 Chrome and 5 Refractors. I also got extremely lucky in filling my set as I opened two blasters from Target and pulled a total of 28 SPs! I couldn’t believe it, a couple packs had nothing but SPs in them ~ very fun adding cards to my book that day.

Anyway, I realize that completing a set is quite difficult without trading so here I am. The following is both what I have and what I have extras of, if anyone can help please let me know. Thanks a ton and can’t wait to be in touch with those that can help me and vise versa.

    Shea

(((see later post for trade list, it changed a bit with a couple packs and trades so...)))

    Hi Bri-!

I'm a big White Sox fan, and I'd love to trade you for the black Konerko card. I have about 300 doubles of 2007 Heritage to trade you, so I can pretty much fill in a bunch of your collection once you tell me what you need....Let me know!

    Welcome to the thread too!

Well my 2 retail cases didn't show up today, but the guy said he sent them priority mail so there is always hope for tomorrow. I think I might have to do a little running around tonight and see if I can find some retail packs, might be pointless though I think I cleaned most of those out yesterday. I've got to learn to be patient.....

OK I'm having a hard enough time trying to sort out all of the SPs and yellow variations so I haven't really been paying attention to the relics and autos but is there any special significance to the hand numbered stuff?

Wow, nice pull. You guys have had way better luck with those blasters than I have, of course there are a ton of people that have had better luck with the lottery than I have as well.image

I found 3 Targets stocked with Blasters. 10 at the first, 5 at the second and 7 at the third. Of course I bought them all, my luck was so-so with no ink and only three Clubhouse Collection cards. I did pull more than my fair share of refractors. I do have plenty of GUM though. It was fun and I admit to be searching for more. This is by far my favorite Baseball issue every year. Looking to trade when I get organized. Enjoy!

Okay guys, I think I am going to order a hobby case (I'm trying to complete my felt emblems set image ), my question is where is the best place to order from? I have ordered from dcssportscards and they pack their stuff really well (inside a bigger box with styrofoam peanuts), but they seem kind of expensive at $730 a case, and I have ordered from blowoutcards they are cheaper at $620 a case, but they don't pack their stuff very well (they just put it in a larger box with no packing material). So who have you guys found to order cases from? Thanks in advance for your help.

Humm... Well I had to go to target to get some bubble envelopes for my trades and figured I would pick up a couple packs (no blasters ~ boo)...
    8 packs, 8 inserts or SPs and I need....... 1/8 :

Oh, I do have a question though that I didnt see an answer for while scanning the thread, has anyone found a card #13 (Wilfredo Ledezma) with White Team and no little yellow triangle? I'm guessing there are three variants for this card like there was the original, am I chasing something that doesnt exist in a regular card #13?

    Well, here is the updated listing with my 7 new additions;

    Needed:
    SPs
    13, 58, 77, 85, 121, 158, 167, 168, 185, 186, 213, 221, 249, 257, 258 (2), 276, 293 (2), 294, 302, 339, 347, 348, 374, 384, 392, 393, 410, 420, 428, 446, 455, 465, 473, 482
    Yellow Team Name:
    2, 33, 35, 58, 76, 79
    Yellow Player Name:
    30, 57, 65, 92
    Inserts…
    Then & Now:
    6, 8
    Flash Backs:
    7, 8
    New Age Performers:

Also any Indians Chrome, Refractors, Blacks, Relics and Autos!
(Contact me on these and we can work something out I imagine. I have 19Cho, 5Ref, 5Rel and money to complete a deal if needed)
I would also be interested in other SP or insert Indians cards from any year ~ I’m a huge fan and try to get all the Tribe cards I can.

Oh lastly I am in search of the 2007 Topps Generation Now #194 (I think, maybe 195) which is Jered Weaver Win #9 (I was at the game so…)

    What I have to trade:

I nabbed 4 blasters tonight and got squat. I think the magic is over on these. It might be time to wait and see how low hobby gets. Thanks to Geordie for
filling in my last hole...Batista!!! I now only need Mantle 31, which I think someone is sending me.

I have to ask my self how I can have over 150 extra SP's and no Batista. Also more than 50 Mantle doubles and no #31.

None the less this set is a beauty. I think Im going to sit down one night, take all my sets and go through them.....ahh the memories!!

I still have plenty for those looking to trade autos, GU or Black refractors. Im also selling too if you want to go that route. Its been a great month. I can't
    believe I almost said no.

Well it's official...I have been taken for $117.00 for two boxes of Heritage. Beware of "carmencita66" on ebay. He is not shipping anything and is no longer answering emails. And good ol' ebay, well they offer the usual hands off attitude for help. Since I paid by paypal, I may be able to get my cash back. Since it was a presale, it has ben too long most like;y, but I'll try. Just watch out guys.
I am getting gun shy with this mail order crap. Blowout has been good, but I got took last year on a half case of Heritage from Jill McKarnney out of MD. She had an ebay rating over 10,000 and I guess just decided to go bad. After reading another thread on CUabout some guy who was ripping off folks, I have decided to go after Jill and yes Carmen. I have an address for Jill in MD and it will cost more than it is worth, but someone has to stop these rip offs. Going after some blasters to break the blues... image

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Well I ran out and got my daily fix, found one blaster and 21 packs. I didn't get much, a couple of mantles I needed and one refractor. I did add some more to the trade list , I updated it with what I got tonight. The available should be up to date, the needs may not be, but if I end up with some doubles that is okay. So if you are still trading check out the updated listg and if you need some of the 2007 and can help me out with the 2006 that will be fine as well.

Well I am getting a little bored waiting on the mailman, so I started thinking about what the 2008 heritage set would look like and decided to play with photoshop a little bit.

Damn H Addict, you really do need some counseling or some more Heritage. The 65 set is what I am holding out for. I picked up a retrail box today(first retail)at the Lackland AFB BX. He rang up the total and said, "$2.85 please". Now what would you do H Addict?

    a) give the guy $2.85 and run out of the store
    b) Say "just a minute, I've decided to grab the other box"
    c) Explain that it should be $2.85 times 24.

I did C, but it was hard. Just for that 2 seconds, I gloated saying "yes!" Then explained there were 24 of those little $#2.85 jewels.
Getting ready to crack it and I hope my honesty rewards mewith something nice.

jmmiller, I had that exact same experience last week, but at Walmart. I can't imagine how many cards that little old lady has sold for $2.97 a box, she said that is how she had rung them up several times before she couldn't believe they were that much a pack. I'll have to work on a 65 tomorrow.

Well done - you absolutely made the right choice.

Shea, I think the consensus was that there are only two variations to #13. It'd be fun to find out otherwise, but at this point it doesn't appear that Topps played the three variations card.
