Your cards that you came up 'short' on I pulled at least 8 of each. There were some cards where I only pulled 4. 4 was the minimum out of 6 blasters, 2 retail cases, and 3 retail boxes. I think it is all just on luck of the draw. I've had problems like that in the past. In 2005 I had over 20 doubles of some cards and like 1 double of others.

This year I was able to put toghether 4 base sets rather easily and with a little help 6.

I just bought 6 retail boxes from ebay tonight. I thought that I was done buying Heritage for this year, but I don't think I will be able to rest until I pull a freaking auto.

My wife asked me why I don't just buy one from ebay. I don't know about you guys, but it is just not the same as pulling one. I am hoping to have better luck with the retail boxes than I did with the hobby boxes.

The thrill of the chase! Heck, I bought WAY too much the last 2 years but I smartened up after my first year. Being able to trade on here with my extra SPs is going to allow me to make 2 master sets (- the ARODS). That $$ will help offest the cost and then I can buy more and work on chrome and refractor sets. It also allows me to pull stuff like this! (sorry I still haven't figured out photobucket and I'm doing some last minute grading at school....spam alert if you don't want to see the Ebay auction).

By far my best Heritage pull, although in 2005 I pulled a Yogi Berra Red auto.

I've had pretty good luck pulling autos. Pulled a Musial last year as well. I suppose if I collected just the autos and sold off my master set I could afford to keep them

Good luck Bunker, I did that last year and ever did pull one. This year I was lucky and pulled a blue auto (Dave Melton) my first box. I've opened six more and have 2 hobby and two blasters on the way. Don't even know wwho Dave is, I was just happy finally to pull one early in the season. Best of luck.Text

Nice pull Tzahl. Being from Missouri I don't know that I could let that one go if I pulled it. I'm hoping to complete atleast one master set this weekend, I bought 2 retail cases off of ebay yesterday, I'm only a few cards short...if the wife finds out I bought 2 more cases I may end up divorced before I get this thing put together. I know it would just be easier to buy the few cards I need on ebay, but what fun would that be.

I'm a transplant! Born and bred in Nebraska. Never been much of a Cardinals fan but they are top 4 after the Cubbies of course and in a 3 way tie with the Royals (I know, blasphemous) and the Rockies. Gotta root for the midwest teams. Us Neebrasker folks don't have a hole lot en thee way of pro sprts teems.

For those of you contemplating sending cards back to Topps, please note that their current replacement policy [which I strongly disagree with] requires the following PROOF OF PURCHASE. A UPC from the box you are claiming the damaged cards came from, a sales receipt for the purchase of those cards and package wrappers for those damaged cards.

Rant aside, it is my contention that my possession of a damaged card is sufficient "proof of purchase"....Topps needs to improve quality control so that these bad cards do not get out and revise their replacement policy to make it unequivocal that they will make good on the bad cards sent back, no questions asked... Are you reading this thread Mr Eisner ? ? ?

ps, I have found that the quality of cards from the four blasters was much better than the nine Hobby boxes I opened.

I sent 34 SPs in from 34 packs. Does Topps want me to keep track of every pack those SPs come out of? Do they want me to send the cards back to them in a 5000 count box so I can have all my reciepts, packs, and UPCs in there?

I sent in the UPC and proof of purchase but I think when opening 400+ packs it is ridiculous to keep track of every pack. Hopefully I can get them replaced iwthout much trouble.

I found blasters at Toys R Us. One of the stores (only one of three) gave me a $5 gift card for each of the two boxes I bought. I went back later and got six more boxes, but only got one $5 gift card. I'll certainly use them.

I'm still in the middle of selecting cards to put in the final master set...

But I do have a preliminary assessment and I wonder if others share this. I'm a 7 yr heritage collector; this is not whining - just sharing my observation.

Overall grade for the set design and concept: A

Early assessment of quality control: C

I am gonna have scans later - I'm preparing cards for return - I usually do "random" replacement but I have a bunch of SP's I will submit for card by card replacement.

I would say that at least 50% or better of the SPs I'm pulling are slightly OC to OC. And a few have small chunks of cardboard missing from the bottom edge.

I'm planning on sending two of the worst ones to the main office - CEO - with a polite letter asking them how they can justify this kind of quality or lack of - quality control in the 21st century?

Can any of you Gentlemen give me the rundown on how I should start putting these cards in 9 pocket sleeves? I am collecting the basic set only and I am not sure what is considered just the basic set. The last thing I want to do is accidently skip a card and have to go back and start over. Boy I hate that! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got a late start this year since my local shop decided NOT to order any Heritage(The whole 1/no auto per case deal) so I'm stuck buying retail when/if I can find it. After multiple trips over the past 2 weeks to all of the Targets/Walmarts/Kmarts in town I finally found some at Target. Cleared them out but still only got about 200 dollars worth of retail. Well I've bought 6 blasters in the last week and am looking to get a couple of retail or hobby if I can find them locally (so far so not good). I'm planning on collating this weekend (the Mrs. is out of town) and should have a trade list up after the weekend.

It's not often the I whistle to myself and curse a little bit, but after I broke my pledge not to get any more blasters, I had to pick up diapers at Target tonight and just couldn't resist picking one up. Glad I did. Can somebody tell me how to attach an image?

Yes, I do have a problem.....

I was a little bored tonight and went to Walmart just to see if they had Heritage....I had only seen one box and I live in a small town so I frequent there pretty often. They had Topps, some Turkey Red, and Upper Deck. That didn't even turn my clock....I am sure they got more Heritage in than what they had put out (1 box) so I basically reorganized their shelf to open up space....the thing is...I could get great deals on Ebay, am going on a little roadie tomorrow which will include some blasters or packs....but I needed my fix TONIGHT and I didn't get it. I check this thread every hour or so......

Does anyone else have this problem? This stuff is addictive and I don't know why!
