Off topic,..... I just got an important email

I just got an email saying my Bank of America account has been blocked. I'm supposed to provide them a bunch of information to get it unblocked.
Funny thing is, I don't bank at Bank of America.
Matter of fact, there are no Bank of America branches anywhere near here.
These scammers just never quit.

I got the same one. Just like you, I do not have an account with these people. The email looks real until you look at the properties of the link in the email.

    I use Google Mail.

It has an amazing Spam filter. It marks most phishing emails as "not from whom it says it is". And puts them in the Spam folder. I get 1 spam/month in my InBox.

If anyone wants a gmail account email me and I can set you up!

Believe it or not, but most major banks do. It's hidden somewhere on the website, or you can ask for that address next time you communicate with a "breathing body" at the bank.

Gmail's getting better and better. They now have a feature where you can use Gmail to access a POP3 mail account. I get all my mail on my flaminio.com server, but I now use Gmail as my mail "client". Much better than any usual mail client because of the built-in spam features, and the ability to access my mail from anywhere without having to configure a POP3 mail client.

Got the same one a couple weeks ago and I also do not bank with BoA even though there is a branch 2 blocks from me. I reported it to their site but never got a reply.
