Do coin dealers fascinate you?

Do you really want to get inside their heads, find out what makes them tick?

Are there other people in the world that you are interested in?

Coin dealers and collectors are really the same. We are just people. There are good people and bad people.....and it is all subjective.

To prove my point, some collectors eventually become dealers. Likewise, some dealers change careers to something else and become collectors again.

No more or less than anyone else.

All people are fascinating if you dig deeply enough. Those who seem far from fascinating are indeed fascinating in their genuine lack of being fascinating.

No, they disgust me and the only reason I want to get inside their heads is to make some adjustments and do some fine tuning & reprograming.

As sad as this is, wouldn't most of us want to talk with a cute check out babe for 10 minutes over a wise and experienced coin anybody for an hour?

Some are just collectors who "took it up a notch" do coins for a living. Some are just scammers, who, if they did not deal in coins, would be working a different scam. Other varieties exist.

My coin dealer has His shop in a very small town with a population of just under 350. He is not only a coin dealer but he holds down a job and runs a dairy farm. He has become not only My No. 1 coin dealer but a friend as well. He and His wife run the small shop in LaValle, Wisconsin (Near The Wis. Dells) and I make the 165 mile drive to Their shop at least twice a month. He even sends My coins in for grading! When He gets some Gold in that He knows that I don't have, He e-mails or calls Me! He always gives Me Great Deals!! When ever He and His Wife are in Milwaukee, He treats my Wife and I to dinner!
Yes, My coin dealer really fascinates Me!!

I don't know what to think of my local B&M. I have been in his shop when customers come in and say, "whats it worth". Is he a scum bag for withholding what it's really worth? The customer should have some idea, plenty of material and resources out there.

spend time explain the history of an item.
