that's more of a triangle than a circle.
the previous was more of a square/rectangle or even a rhombus.

I apologize in advance for that rhombus crack.
that was way out of line.

The " circle of trust" as it were is a non-published list of those board members who in their dealings with other members over time have EARNED a reputation for honesty and integrity that is second to none. They are 100% trustworthy and their word is their bond. If they say a coin or payment is "in the mail" it is IN THE MAIL. They are however not necessarily experts at grading coins.

edited to replace inner circle with circle of trust. an inner circle would not necessarily be a trustworthy one.

I think the proper term is "circle of trust". There were several past threads on this topic and most were anything but serious. Bottom line: if you are a member, you know it.

There is no inner circle. Now there may be a few pompous ass holier then thou collectors and dealers who THINK they are part of some type of inner circle here, but in reality, most everyone here just laughs at them behind their back and regards their posts as free entertainment and comic relief. image

I will also add that most of the sharpest and smartest individuals IMO have either left or very seldomly post here anymore, but when they do it's worthwhile reading.

I think you have the main players that every one knows and loves then you have other people like me who have a circle of trust with 5-10 board members. Its nice to e-mail some one you deal with and have them send you a coin to look at or send them a coin and not have to worry if you are going to get paid or get the coin back. Its a very rare thing in this day and time to trust some one who you have never meet in person. I feel very honerd to be a small part of it image

    Totally agree.

I posted the item of Trust, it was I that should be labeled as a nitwit- Thanks Russ.

It should stand corrected it is the Circle of Trust, certain BM's that have confidence that the transaction you partake in will be completed in a fashion acceptable to both parties- no lying, no thievery, etc.

Circle of Trust - never leave home without it.
