sorry wasnt around........I didn't mean for it to be derogatory, I was just surprised the registry (I dont play) was so specific and specialized. Seriously,I didnt mean it to be a put down......sorry
and it is a 69 without the cam designation so I guess I BSed (sorta, old holder, I think itll cam)and theyre at the bank....i think theyre all pcgs tho
I notice there are no DCAMS, this isn't a put down, please don't misunderstand. I don't do the registry thing, so I don't know. Is there a reason there are no DCAMS? Would you rather have it with a mixture of CAMS and DCAMS or just how does that work?
I ask because I've got a 57 quarter in a 67DCAM, is the DCAM designation worth more in that it would weigh more than a point higher than the same coin at CAM level?
Anyway, I just cherrypicked this one from a set and submitted it. I do collect '64 and back proof sets, but never even thought about having them all slabbed or the registry thing.
Just curious.
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose." Oh I know. Trust me there, I know about that aspect.
I've got a 50 Frankie in a 63 CAM, 54 Frankie in 64 CAM and the 57 I mentioned. Out of all the proof sets I have, and I have stacks of each year through the 50s, those three are it. Well, I do have a 50 Lincoln that would CAM if I submitted it, came from the same set as as the CAM Frankie, but it's probably no better than 63 and I've just never gotten around to submitting it. Don't know if it's even worth it.
Don't know the POPS, I don't have access to that.

Sorry, but this thread reminds me of the grade school-school yard. My dad can beat up your dad. What's the big deal here? Some guy says he has better coins than you. Does that change your coins any. Would your coins be any less to you if he could produce a better set? Believe me, there are sets with no equal with owners that don't even know what a registry set is. We all take great pride in our collections, but to make a scene because someone says theirs are better is bit childish in my opinion.
Calling people out over Registry sets? LMAO..... I know these guys are serious so I never mess with them. I've had a couple dealers "Call me out" but I don't take that so serious. The Registry guys? Be very afraid. Heh
Please... Save The Stories, Just Answer My Questions, And Tell Me How Much!!!!!

you were NOT "called out"..........last time, I DID NOT KNOW THE REGISTRY WAS SO SPECIALIZED. I WAS SURPRISED BY THAT FACT. I STATED IT. Someone, somewhere has better coins than me also. I AM NOT insulted nor do I feel "called out" if that someone says so. I did not imply what you inferred. SORRY if you felt I insulted you.......the end.

7 DCAM is worth the same points as a 68 CAM for the registry
Dollar wise, different story

i doubt that ilikedimes is a 13 yr old.
i am very proud of my set, worked long and hard to get it where it is and i refuse to let somebody denigrate it !
somebody with a better set will have enough class to put it in the registry and let the set speak for itself !
thats fine with me.
Just dont talk smack in an open forum if you can back it up !
