Ever refuse to buy something you need because you preferr to buy a coin?

My wife is always telling me I need a new car, new shoes etc. Sometimes I admit I do, but then I start thinking if I buy a new car then I probably won't be able to buy coins with the payment and all else involved.
So, I 'll just take my car to the shop for an oil change even though I just did one 3 months ago and I only drive 9 miles to work every day both ways. But, when it comes to upgrading one of my coins I don't mind paying even $1000. in a heart beat if it's a nice one.
My shoes will start looking old but are still good. Then I think to myself, I can buy a good coin book with that money so I'll just put shine on them.
Has anyone else ever refused to buy something you need because you preferr to buy coins?

Just spend $304 on new glasses for my son, now I would have
rather spent that money on coins but it went for a good cause.
Just got my latest natural gas bill - about 30% higher than last
year just as I figured it would be.
Need a new garbage disposal, furnace tune up etc. I haven't
even begun Christmas shopping yet.
Money for coins..... darn it will just have to wait.
i look around my apt and i can tell i am a minimalist.
so in summary, i just use my excess cash to buy coins, all the
while maintaining and gradually improving my living conditions.
i like buying quality necessities. real quality makes me feel good.
like a pair of real gloves, not walmart crap for the winter for example.
by the way, relayer.... I am still laughing at your response !

No, but recently I redefined the word "need".
