I picked up these two few years apart from each other and from different sellers in different parts of the country. I noticed the certification numbers were just a few digits apart leading me to believe that they came from the same mint set and were certified at the same time. Long lost brothers were reunited by sheer coincidence, I'd love to see the rest of the family.
Both from the same collection before me, both from same submission (not mine), still in old NGC fatties at the same grade (66's) ... and both dated 1936 from San Francisco

1884 PCGS ms66.
1886 NGC ms63*
that is VERY cool. Numismatics on an ethereal level. Matching coins reunited via logic!

Left these sitting on my desk unprotected under paper and envelopes for about 8 months.
I guess I should clean it off more often.

It's just a computer generated background. I made it symetrical with the rollups in the corners and colored it to match the look of the coins.
