What is your favorite circulated coin?

Mine is a nice AU 1913 T1 Buffalo. Not one particular coin, but any nice AU T1.

Something about a lightly circulated T1 buffalo.

They just look they way a coin is suppose to look.

There may be more attractive uncirculated coins, but a little wear on a T1 almost makes it look better. There are not many coins I would say that about.

I really like the Early Lincolns. (pre-1930) XF-AU with very slight rub.

The beautiful early strikes on these coins are only enhanced by the nice brown color.

G - VG Liberty Nickels have a neat look to them, I think. My first "old coin" as a kid was a 1906 V-nickel probably VG...

1853-O half dollar, no arrows and rays

There are 3 known and between 1975 and 1982, they were all in MD, the lowest grade (G) being the one that I owned. The finest known is a VF.

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

That is just to complicated of a question for me. My mind changes to fast as I look at coins at a coin show or just open albums and look at them. I guess if I had to get rid of everything I have and only keep on type of coin it would be the Lincoln Cent. Been saving them for over 50 and almosat 60 years so not to easy to like anything else.

Mr. Ziggy, right on the money, thanks for the pic! Too bad it isn't a peg leg, though I have yet to see one (a 71-D peg) in my limited travels.

None...I only collect UNC. Nothing wrong with circulated; they just don't appeal to me. But there is no wrong or right way to collect so more power to everyone to complete their collections the way it is meaningful to them.

There are some excellent choices here and Colorfulcoins makes a great argument but
I like a really nice G or VG clad quarter. It needs to be nice even wear on a decently
struck coin and they are none too common but a few layers of honest wear on these
will make everything but a gem look a lot better.
