Doesn't appeal to me at all, but I like mine white.
    When in doubt, don't.

This is an example of where you really need to see it in hand. You know, kinda like Heritage Auctions.image It has potential to be vibrant and attractive, but may also be a little piggy.

I like it- the strike looks a little soft, but it has attractive toning and the fields look pretty clean. It's not a monster toner, but certainly much more appealing than a dull white one.... image

It would interest me only if the price was right and there was a good return policy. The photos a pretty worthless - you can barely read the date on the obverse, and it looks like it has been sand blasted. I suspect the the sand blasting look is not really as bad as it looks, but you won't know until you see the coin in hand.

Not the kind of toining that would bring much of a premum, but looks very clean and mark free. It would have to be very inexpensive to get me interested.

Before the big toned coin craze caught on, a coin with that type of color would typically trade either at or below the price of a white coin grade for grade. While that toning is not altogether horrible, it carries no premium as I see it.

But now every Ebay scammer and nitwit in general who has a coin with a carbon spot on it thinks it's a rainbow toned monster and worth 30X bid.

I agree with the above comments...
It doesn't have the look I like in my morgans (and, I have blast white and toned).
May look better in hand and that could be the deciding factor....in addition to "is it priced right?"

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

It's one of the 30 very common Morgan dates- the definition of a boring widget. It's worth $43 delivered for now, but it will go down in value soon enough.image

Strikes too weak. Yeah I know it's an O mint but it's still too weak for me. The dull drab toning doesn't do much for me. It's not really negative, just neutral looking to me.

Ain't much even in the picture. $40 tops.. Morgans can look so great in scans but disappoint in hand. Go to a show or two. I found out about the range of toning at such a venue and about VAMs. or just buy like amd and learn.

I kind of like the reverse, but the obverse is just blah.

I think it's an OK looking coin. I tend to agree with most of the people here though. You can do Much better in the color department for just a little more. 84-O's are extremely common, and quite easy to find much nicer. Try Northeast Numismatics. If you watch for their newly listed coins every day or so, you can pick up some reasonably priced, attractive color coins, with many being in the sub $100 range. Good Luck!image

I would pass. This coin is not what most are looking for. Once purchased, it'd be an upgrade candidate shortly.
Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!
