Commem Halves In Your 7070

Show me what commemorative halves you have in your Dansco 7070! I'm trying to get an idea of what to put in there. I have none yet!

I have a Columbian, a Lincoln, an Iowa, and an Oregon. At the time I was putting it together, I didn't really like many of the commems. My tastes have changed a little since then and there are others I would be willing to put in there if I could find the right coins.
  • I have a nicely toned 1892 Columbian, a 1926 Oregon, and a 1982 George Washington.

I'm looking for either a Pilgrim or Stone Mountain for the last hole.

  • That's a nice Pilgrim, airplanenut!

I don't have any early commems, but I just put a Proof Washington and a Proof Statue of Lib in there. They look good! When I get a digicam, I'll post some pics.
  • 1893 Columbian, 1925 Stone Mountain, 1935 San Diego, 1982 Washington (may replace with my 1922 Grant--if I decide to crack it out).
    Curmudgeon in waiting!

Here's what I have in those 4 spaces (I have other commems, but for this album I went with a theme of
American Discovery, Settlement, Migration, and my current home, San Diego:

(the pics of the 1st 2 are underexposed, those of the last 2 are overexposed... all coins are lightly toned, the Columbian most, then in decreasing order; the SD is nearly white. My camera battery died the evening I was taking pictures, and I finshed bright the next morning after it had charged)

  • Baley, yours is the set by which most others are judged. I'm impressed not only by the coins, but also by the theme. Thanks for sharing the pics.
  • I don't have pictures, but I have a 92 Columbian, a San Diego, a Bay Bridge, and a Rhode Island.

Got the Columbian because it was the first....the other three are from places I've lived...my theme. Would've gone for a Hawaiian, but woof $$$$$ (I would never have cracked it for the book) image

Columbian, BayBridge and Calif. Jubilee. The empty 4th hole is waiting for a coin to fill it. Since I live in Cal., I am considering a San Diego, for a Cal. theme, however an Oregon is also a possiblity since I really like the look of that coin.

  • As of now, I have a Carver/Washington, and an '86 Statue of Liberty. I bought these to fill the holes, but have been putting more thought into it as of late.
    I want a:
Oregon - I just love this coin.
Long Island - I live on LI.
    Columbian - The 1st commem.
