Anyone going to the ANA Summer Semiar?

Is anyone going to the ANA Summer Seminar this summer? I'll be in the Paper Money class in the second session.
Because of Cameron's new job I doubt that he'll be there. Anyone know? I'll miss him picking us up at the airport like he's done the last few years.

I'll be there, taking Bob Campbell's course on counterfeits and authentication. Also teaching a mini-seminar on patterns with Rick Kay, and doing a bull session with Pistareen and Regulated.

I'll be teaching both weeks: Numismatics of the American Revolutionary Period in Week 1 (with Erik Goldstein of Colonial Williamsburg) and American Numismatics in the 19th Century (with book dealer/author/the Wizard of Wenham Charlie Davis).

The first class is basically a class on the coins that circulated in the era, the paper money and fiscal paper that was released to fund the war during and after, and the contemporary medals that recognized its heroes. The second class is a primer on the history of coin collecting in America from its cradle days until the days of B. Max Mehl, talking about the big collections, the fads, the books, and the interesting personalities of the era.

I'll be taking the Early American Coppers course and the mini course on African coinage the second week.

I'll be working with the Salmonella protein HilA in Barnes Science Center (I attend Colorado College). Remind me when you guys are in class and I'll stop by Loomis (and show you a nice restaurant or two to eat dinner at? i know i hate rastall....)

I am fairly sure I'll be there both weeks . . .

First week I teach the "Ultimate Errors" class with James Wiles. The class is essentially about spectacular minting errors. We cover the minting process (classical and modern) with an emphasis on how errors are created. The students spend a lot of time with some amazing errors.

The second week I teach "Coins in the Classroom" with Cathy Scaife. This is a class where we bring in teachers from around the country and show them how to use coins as learning tools in their classroom. It's not about teaching numismatics, per se, but teaching how numismatics reflects our culture and science.

Also have a bull session on collecting unusual slabs (buy the plastic and not the coin). Last year Cameron covered sample slabs and I covered production slabs. It's a toungue-in-cheek view of the evolution of the slabbing industry.

Yes I am busy with my new job but I will be at seminar at least one week this year: I'm one of the instrutors for the Grading US Coins class and wwith time permitting will be hellping JP Martin the second week for the Counterfeit US coins class.
