Did somebody have a problem with an Ebay seller?

Suprise, suprise, suprise.

Steve · April 13, 2005 8:10AM

OK, if we are going for 1,000 I'm adding my name to this list. Steve

mirabela · April 13, 2005 9:37AM

Alright folks, if we're going for it, let's go for it. I've been here a year. Through no particular conscious design, I've incited a monster thread. In the social scheme of this forum -- such as it is -- I am probably *only* known because of it. So, in celebration, the 1,000th poster to this thread gets A FREE COIN! I'll find something pretty, that's all I promise...

Let the fun begin!

Mark · April 13, 2005 9:41AM

mirabela:

I bet you are most likely to send a "supposed mint state seated quarter" that in truth "is badly cleaned"!!

Mark

P.S. :

mgoodm3 · April 13, 2005 9:42AM

1000.

mirabela · April 13, 2005 9:46AM

<< I bet you are most likely to send a supposed mint state quarter, etc. >>

Not likely! Let me be very clear: the 1,000th poster will NOT get the Poe coin! That coin is already far away from me! You will get something honest -- maybe not especially expensive, but something nice to look at and without "issues." But anyway, you are one closer...

RYK · April 13, 2005 9:59AM

Mmm...free coin.

Russ · April 13, 2005 10:30AM

If xpipe is logged on, none of the rest of us stands a chance.

TommyType · April 13, 2005 10:33AM

Ok....You can play your game, but everyone has to promise to NEVER post here again once 1000 is reached.

Such a wonderful, romantic notion!!

mirabela · April 13, 2005 10:56AM

Ya know, I *really really* like Tommy Type's stipulation -- once 1,000 *is* reached, we let it die forever. Howzaboutit?

tlhoy · April 13, 2005 11:01AM

mgoodm3 · April 13, 2005 11:01AM

I will not post to this thread after 1000.

For that to work, we may have to define a punishment.

Yea, verily. Ye who defiles this, the Sacred Thread of Poe, shall be forced to purchase with thine own money one raw coin on the Bay of E.

mgoodm3 · April 13, 2005 11:06AM

I wanna get to 9000 then I'll stop.

Coinhusker1 · April 13, 2005 11:11AM

Well you have to allow for comment and congrats after #1,000, so set the limit to something like 1,050. Beyond that --- the black death curse of pjd1966!!
