Mark That's kind of scary....remember playing Beatles songs and you thought that song was a million years away from reality? Wooooooooooooooooooooooooow!
When I look at pics of me playing over the years, I feel like the same person and not a minute older? Does that make sense?
In keeping - I'm having Ravioli sunday - I break from tradition and actually serve it will a light white cream sauce - trying to keep the fat content down at the same time! Now I just dated myself again.
I was looking at postcards and found this bill I took with me from Saudi during Desert Storm. I was figuring that the bills would eventually be replaced and wanted something to remember my good bud Saddam!
Pretty money, except for the dumbass pictured on it. I've been all over the world and I've learned two things: Best ravioli is in Italy. US currency is the ugliest and stupidest looking of all monies.

Mark And up until most recently, one the easiest to couterfeit!!!
<< <i>Side note - it's not the axe but the guy swinging it! I was watching a guy selling real cheap electric guitars on QVC type show and this young guy played it - he actually made it sound good! I was at Sam Ashe in NYC and picked up a Van Halen signature series type guitar - the sun burst style guitar he used in the video with Hagar - "I can't stop lovin you" - very nice - but when I played it...it sure didn't sound like Eddie!!!LOL

=VH= Van Halen rocked.. i got into them when 5150 came out(first Sammy album).. i was only like 10-11 years old or something like that.. I sent this into PSA during the last $5 special.. i was REALLY wanting to get it holdered just for novelty sake, but oh well..
Perry True story from one of my friends....last year Van Halen/Sammy Hagar played in San Antonio - he bought special "up front" ticks that included early arrival during sound check - sorta like a backstage pass - he took his electric "signing" guitar apart so he only brought the neck - he waved it at Eddie who barely acknowledged it - then asked him where the rest of the guitar was? LOL But would not sign - Hagar was happy to! It turns out Eddie is selling "event used" guitars auto'ed by him with COA for some outrageous price and thus, was not signing. Reminds me of when Joe D. wouldn't sign bats - and we know what happened with the 1941 signature deal!
It is 130 am Im searching the bay of e for whatever may strike my fancy. I just had a plate of Malfalda. Damn it was good. Now if I could find that card.......
I love pasta and Italian cuisine, but there is really something that I don't understand......why are there so many sizes and shapes of virtually the same damn thing??
I mean... last night I made manicotti stuffed with a ricotta filling and topped with sauce (OK - gravy). This to me tastes exactly like stuffed shells, which tastes exactly like cheese ravioli, which tastes exactly like ricotta stuffed tortolini. Throw some sauce on it and it's all the same. Throw a blob of ricotta on some hot spagetti, mix it up and throw some sauce on it. It tastes the same. What the heck?? This is like the card companies....duplication, duplication......
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!
Leftover and at room temperature, but at least it wasn't El Cheapo stuff with the powder sauce packet. This was scratch-made and off the Sunday Brunch here. Five-Star resort mac n' cheese.

May the force be with you.
Since we've abandoned ravioli for Mafalda, please 'splain what the hell it is.
"All evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
Actually Malfalda is a pasta that is long and about a 1/2 wide and has 2 squiggly sides like lasagna. It can also be names "Malfadine"
Next week the thread becomes Rigatoni
NOT The real mafalda
Holds more sauce than spaghetti, which I love.
Mafalda would be a good pasta with putenesca.

That's sooo wrong.
(Not that stuffed shells are bad- hey- they ARE pasta- but they don't touch ravioli. Nuh-uh.)

Tortilla, meat, cheese, lettuce. Name just about any Mexican dish and there are your components. S'all good, though.

"Yeah, sure, why not. Chop a little onion into 'em, wouldn'tcha?"
