how do you insure your coins at home?

my homeowners insurance company has just denied me coverage on a coin rider change telling me that the underwriters do not want to keep up with the regular changes I make to my policy. Well, it's a fact of life that a collector will continue to buy and sell. What do we folks on the forum do for insurance? Keep in mind, I like to actually look at my coins and therefore keep them at home.

...on this side of the family my Smith's cousin is Glock.

I live in a gated, guarded, patrolled community. I have full house alarms. And, the coins that are not in the SDB at the bank, are in a safe.

I have a rider on my homeowner's insurance to cover the coins that I may have out of the safety deposit box (recent purchases, coins to photograph, or coins waiting to be sold/traded).

I applied online with them, got a quote the next day which was reasonable and sent off my check.

so as long as I keep an itemized list of coins, their condition and value, I'm ok claimwise with Hugh Wood? Do I submit the list with the application or just hold on to it for down the road?

Personally I don't carry insurance on my coins but I use my own security system.You see I keep them in a trailor that looks junky that has my cousins who pretened to live there.I pay them very good but when they are there they have to look like white trash.Did I mention in the front there is a beatup truck on cylinder blocks that's missing the windshield and seats.

My actuall house contains nothing for I live in a hidden bunker below it.Thinking about this now everyone know my security system.Guess it's time to move the coins and by a new junky trailor.
