<< <i> Personnally I like it. But, I`m wondering what you guys and gals think about it. Good? Bad? Either way, I`m wondering what your thoughts are. >>
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.
Thanks for the opinions. I`m going to roll the dice and take a chance on it. But still, I got the same impression that something doesn`t seem quite right that I couldn`t put my finger on it. So yeah I geuss it isn`t just me. If anyone else wants to add, feel free to do so.
There is a LOT of wear on this coin to call it an AU. I'd lean towards high end XF. As others have noted, the originality of the piece is very desirable and the strike is very very good for a hi-relief '21.
The grade is declared as XF45. I think the tone is blah too but, the strike struck me as unusually very good. Thanks for the honesty. I`ll more then likely keep it raw. I wondered too if there was a light clean job too on the obverse. It was a " Coin toss " whether to get it or not. The strike, at least for me, edged it for me to go for it. There is good and bad in it and is a really close call whether it`s worth it or not. Again , thanks for the honesty as that is was I was looking for.
This coin has a outstanding strike, but it has obvious wear. I would have loved to have seen this one when it first came from the dies.
Given that the grade is probably EF-45 or so, the rubber ban marks don't bother me. It would have been better if they were not there, but they don't detract that much from the coin. Peace dollars are not known to acquire great colors either. So this coin's orginal look, looks just fine to me.
