Do you carry pocket pieces?

I've never seen a 1935 or 1936 dollar in less than VF condition before, so I'm buying a VF cleaned example as a pocket piece. I'm interested in seeing what one will look like in F, VG, G, and AG.

Here's my new pocket piece. Maybe I'll post photos every few months so you can see how it wears. I'm interested in seeing it in G to VG.

This morning when I came into work I looked in the back seat of a G35 Coupe I took out on a test drive yesterday. Sure enough, there it was on the floor (along with a dime). It has taken me over 2 years to get it worn down from AU to VF, and I'd hate to lose it. Maybe I'll quit when it's around fine to VG.

Edited: Ooops. Nevemind.
I usually carry penny-sized coppers and often give them away to kids. They're cheap and pretty cool looking. I think my favorite 'respectably worn' ones are the 10 centimes of Louie Napoleon.

Had to go dig it out. Could use some cleaning. Plus I’ve notice my photo skills have slipped badly. LOL!
It's too bad the Victoria Golden Jubilee medal had to go under the drill, though.
On second thought, LordMarcovan will congratulate you for owning one.

Awesome. I carry a 1936 two zlote with the ship design. A sharp piece, actually, though someone harshly cleaned it long before I acquired it. Am hoping it eventually returns to a more natural state of wear.
Edited to add: It's from Poland (no surprise there)

If my wife were to put holes in some of my favourite coins I'd hit the roof ( and go straight through it into outerspace !!! ).

My story / connection is that I was born and raised in Deltona, FL where the streets were unpaved gravel and lightly populated. We didn't have schools, so they built one for my 1st-grade class - we were the first class to attend. They named it Discovery Elementary after the shuttle; our ribbon-cutting ceremony happened on the day this shuttle launched. I remember the ceremony, standing with my folks and a few others on the grassy shoulder of a one-lane road in front of the red-brick marquis and saw palmetto bushes; they cut the ribbon as we all looked up and watched the shuttle disappear into the clouds. It couldn't have been a more perfect day, blue skies.
We used to watch the shuttles from our front lawn. That is, we were way too far from the coastline to see the launch, but once it got into the air, we could see plain as day. I remember many times we saw the launch on TV, then my mom and I would run outside the front door and watch it disappear into the clouds.
This photo was taken while it was inside a baggie, the scratch marks aren't on the coin itself, but I'm too lazy to re-shoot

For years I carried a copy of an Athenian tetradrachm that I received in an advertising letter. Still have it somewhere, but a lot of the details are gone along with most of the silvery finish. Think I'm going to go look for it!
Edited to add: woo hoo, found it in the first place I looked! Gonna go buy a powerball ticket I think. Not very significant, but I've enjoyed them. The tet was often a conversation starter and certainly the price was right!
Sorry for the mediocre pix. When I upgraded my PC, I found that my old scanner wasn't windows 7 compatible, so I'm still getting used to how my new scanner/printer works....
I also just parted with a PO01 1797 Brit Cartwheel penny, attributable only because it was a one-year type.
Didn't carry either in the pocket for long, though. I never do.

I grabbed these a month ago for 3$ each at the place I buy silver. I like them but if they are both in the same pocket it makes me walk funny.

How big are they?
That counterstrike is way cool for $3. And dated 1290? I would've snatched it up, too. Nice newps.

It's dated 1790 originally 40 reis , then in 1809 they counterstamped them up to 80 it weighs 29 grams , the other is a 40 reis from portugal which is struck off center or damaged so I can't tell the exact year . It weighs 31 grams
here is an 8 reales next the the brazil piece for comparison
