Coin giveaway (sort of) WINNER IN 1ST POST

That would be me.

1972 was the first year that 18 year olds could vote. You had to turn 18 before election day, November 2nd. The youngest voters that year were born on November first; my 18th birthday. For anyone with a calculator, that means I turn 50 on Monday, November 1, 2004.

Now that the pity thread has started, here's the deal. I will randomly pick a name that responds to this thread. The winner will pick a year of their choice. I will go to the Philadelphia Mint archives and research everything I can find out about that year: coin production, dies, correspondence, silver & gold purchases. Some of the stuff gets pretty interesting using 1964 as an example. Any year between 1792 and 1971 is in play. I will copy all of the material and send it to you. You will be the first one to see records that most people can't even access. What you do with it is up to you.

Don't delay; at my age I might forget even writing this thread. Winner will be drawn towards the end of the week.
