  I only have one pre-1840 PCGS coin, and I had to buy it myself. I'd appreciate the gesture if my wife bought me a coin, but really, I don't think she'd be likely to pick one I'd particularly want. All she knows about coins are the ones I show her after I receive them.

  Truth be told...my wife actually got me back into coins after my exit following the morgan collapse. She gave me a set of ms ASE's in an album a few years back and I was hooked again like a redfish suckin down a crab with a "00" trebble in it.

  Tom, my last girlfriend tried to sell me Jesus, so she's not my girlfriend anymore. In all of the years I've collected coins, I've never had a significant other who was even remotely interested in the hobby.

  My wife has bought me a few mint sets as I was finishing the run and also a few gift certificates. I would hope she would only go to a dealer that knows exactly what I like.

  So show her the PRL from a couple of long time collectors auctions like say. Pitman (Good choice because everyone likes to point his out to show what an "average Joe" collector can accomplish.).
