Great coin for the year. That's definitely a must have for the avid Franklin fiend!

That's a nice Frankie! I really like the crescent toning! SWAG on the grade... ms65 fbl.

Stuart · August 2, 2004 1:57AM

A very attractive toned older Franklin. I'm interested in seeing the grade. It sounds like you may have gotten a rip on that one...???

JeffinMich · August 2, 2004 1:59AM

65FBL...maybe 66FBL

I like it!

FC57Coins · August 2, 2004 2:17AM

Very sweet coin Kyle - it's a 64FBL with a damn good shot at 65FBL!

Very pretty Franklin!

I'll guess MS66 (can't tell if it's FBL from the picture).

(sounds like a story brewing here!)

Here one of my 49-P coins. Lousy picture. More vibrant color, and more blue in center. Two sided color as well. Always a tough find

CoinAddict · August 2, 2004 2:49AM

Nice coin, Daniel.

MadMonk · August 2, 2004 2:51AM

Thanks Kyle. I like yours quite a bit. One day you'll have to post lots of pics!

GoYankees · August 2, 2004 2:52AM

You hit a home run with that coin!

CoinAddict · August 2, 2004 8:05AM

TTT for the evening crew.

pursuitofliberty · August 2, 2004 11:40AM

I'm not even a huge fan of the series, but that coin is sweet ... nice score. I could see it as a 66, but I'm thinking you got it for less than that.

RGL · August 2, 2004 11:51AM

Super Sweet .. 65, and apparently FBL, all the way ... nice color. Way too many rips for a kid ...

darktone · August 2, 2004 11:58AM

WOW! I think it has the color to 66FBL. mike

LucyBop · August 2, 2004 2:39PM

another great score Kiddy-o!!!!

Dave99B · August 2, 2004 2:51PM

I do believe that's one of the nicer coins I've seen lately on this board.

Thanks for sharing that cupcake.

Thanks for all of the guesses everyone. I think the coin is going to be a very nice addition to my collection. The coin is graded MS-64 FBL so it fits perfectly with all of my other Franklins. Oh BTW, it cost me $83. I do not think I did too bad.

DesertRat · August 2, 2004 3:38PM

FBL.....Full Bell Line!!!! Damn! I'm actually remembering some of this stuff. Reading sure helps...wish I could get my kids to believe that.

NICE COIN!

Ok, medication kicking in I better go to bed now

Myqqy · August 2, 2004 3:43PM

When it comes to Franklins, I restrain myself and only collect the proofs, but I LOVE that one!! Beautiful colors and excellent eye appeal. Maybe somebody could shed some light on this, but I've always found it interesting how the MS toned Franklins often times have that "crackled" sort of look in the toning. I've never seen another series that tones in that particular way.....

CoinAddict · August 3, 2004 12:02AM

I would also like to know how the Franklins get the "crackled' toning as myqqy calls it. My 1951 also has that kind of toning.
