What, theres a show? I thought the numismatic world was ruled by auctions now.....
If LB is even 1/2 as active as Fun was, it will be one heck of a show. This is typically THE BEST LB of the year.
I predict it will be a blockbuster!
SUGGESTION: THE BEST DAY TO ATTEND WILL BE FRIDAY. Most dealer to dealer activity now happens in the hotel rooms before the show (if your searching for fresh coins). Your best bet to go on Firday is because dealers will be getting (or have gotten) back their submissions from the services. The floor just isn't as flush with great coins as it used to be.

Cameron, don't forget many dealers will be gone Saturday and Sunday and from what Laura says the dealers will be in their motel rooms Thursday so the only day to go is Friday- but I would not go to early on Friday because everybody else will be trying to get in. I think if you go between 10:14 and 11:05 it should be safe until lunch mike

I know. I go to every show and the big guys fly out Saturday afternoon. I never buy from them so it dosen't effect me.
Won't know until the Alaska Airlines Cyber-Fares are published Tuesday that week - hope to see you there.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko.
I'll be there Friday this time, coming back into Long Beach from a 5 day cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy that day. Going to the PCGS Set Registry luncheon, then to the show for an hour or two before driving back up the coast to home. (My wife is sooo cool!) It will be nice to see more dealers present as the last two shows I could not make until Saturday afternoon. I can't imagine how empty the floor must be by Sunday! Hope to meet some of you wonderful people at lunch Friday afternoon. Joe
Thursday won't be a bad to go, just you might find fewer coins than you thought. For us, we do the majority of our buying Tues-Wed. and then on Friday.
Like I said, this will be a great show!

I will be there, at my table, #520, Thurs-Sat. I will not be there on Sunday. Please stop by and say HI.

The Long Beach Coin, Stamp & Collectibles Expo (public) hours are Thursday to Saturday, January 29 - 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, February 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. -donn- Donn Pearlman
"If it happens in numismatics, it's news to me....
If I go, it will be just for a few hours on Saturday. If I do I'll try to say hi to some of the dealers. If not I'll save my money for an Anaheim show.

I will be looking for you Bear, you are often the voice of reason on these boards, and I would be honored to make your acquaintance as I do appreciate your ursine wisdom on our beloved forum. Joe
I will be there...and I will actually have a table. Table #876. It is way, way, way in the back, heck this one was even expensive...$600.
I hope to see all the forum members there, you can rest when you finally get there it really is in the way back, between the food concesion and the loading doors...more toward the loading doors. We did not make the directory that was in Coin World (signed up too late), but hopefully will be in the revised one given out at the show.
I will be doing the show with my father, Ron Minsberg. I think the table is under Minsberg and son, even though he operates under his own name and myself under M&M Collectibles...I thought it would bring a smile to his face.
Anyway, hope to see you all there...feel free to hang out at my table, I usually don't get many people looking at my contemporary stuff, but will have some pretty toners I would love to show everyone.
