I don't wish to "ttt" Sperber's current thread (thread), so I'll just post this here...

I know how many of you feel about her. Heck, I even know how many of you feel about me! Just wondering, though, was it really so bad for her to post initially at 7AM and then once again at 10AM on a Monday? It's not like her thread moved too much. (I'm guessing, since I *just* noticed that thread.) I guess where I'm going with this is that the single ttt rule here is unwritten and not hard-and-fast. The intent is to establish so sort of fairness, otherwise things could really get out of hand.

But, in this specific case, did Sperber really do anything unfair? It seems like there are so many other occasions where one can pick on her for greater cause. But, for this one, it seems more like a mountain out of a molehill type of thing.

I know that some of you may be thinking of past incidences where I've engaged in banter in one of her threads here. I hope folks believe me, but I never knew that there was this "ttt" rule and I never even realized that folks were getting PO'ed at that until I read it just after the last time I posted here. Since then, I stopped. When I was selling stuff here a long time ago, I only "ttt" my threads on a daily basis.

Steve, she/Laura has done it before, been told about it and blatantly ignored it, without any apparent regard for what others think. So, the reaction you spoke of was not based solely on one extra post (today).

It irks me in particular, since she has made all sorts of accusations about me and my posts and about my being a hypocrite. The difference is, that I don't ignore others when they point out things that appear to be contrary to forum policy. For example, I quit posting images of coins that we own, even though I wasn't even telling people we owned them - Laura informed everyone and then SHE complained about it.

Fair is fair and she hasn't been fair.

hate to stir the pot but yes she did. Ever heard of leading by example? No wonder collectors have a certain view of Laura.

Just think of how mad she would be if PCGS booted her for not honoring the rules around here.

and manipulate this board for ones own greed and opinions that as she put "our superior stuff";
who told her her stuff was superior..is that her opinion...lets remember what opinions make of people.

Wow. If I felt grumpy, I'd post the following:

With all due respect, who died and made you all king of the rules? Where is it written by CU that there's to be exactly one ttt per day? Where is it written by CU that updated info is deemed a ttt? Perhaps we all need to relax and keep a few things in perspective around here.

I read this entire thread and all I see is sportsmoderator1 requesting that multiple offerings be combined to one thread. Then the bandwagon piles on and comes up with some new rules. Perhaps the point is that CU is the one that makes the rules and the rest of us follow them. If CU wants to put the rule in writing, then I'm certain that it will be followed, but until then who really cares what the bandwagon says?

But I'm not real grumpy right now, so I won't!

Edited to add: I think the whole thing is silly. Laura's being a witch to Mark because of something one of Mark's bosses said, Mark's responding in kind which is beneath him, and the peanut gallery is piling on with prattles about violations of non existant rules - as if the supposed violation of the supposed rule even really mattered. Just another day in Coinalot, eh?
